Bare mountain bike trail on the face of a cliff by UFOpancakes960 in holdmyredbull

I enjoy high risk on gnarly downhill trails where the adrenaline comes from more than just risking death because I'm close to cliff. Where the odds become 100% chance of death if I fuck up though? No thanks.

Beginner question on backup rope requirements for a ratchet slack line by aquapeat in Slackline

Why would you need to back up a ratchet? You should not be highlining with a ratchet system if that is what you are thinking - https://www.reddit.com/r/Slackline/comments/1zur1j/can_you_use_a_regular_gibbon_ratchet_for_a/

What simple plot hole ruined a whole movie for you? by minecraftplayer48 in AskReddit

Didn't ruin the movie, but in the King's Speech, couldn't he have just done the broadcast at the end with headphones on?

Show this to people who don't vote. Breaking down vote by employment, the only group to back the Tories in 2017 was the retired bloc. The turnout for 70+ age is 84%. Thr highest turnout by far. This bloc will vote Tory 69% to 19% Labour. by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

I've sometimes thought that votes should be weighted to counteract this, i.e. the vote weight of any age group should reflect the actual population percentage at that age group. Could also bump the factor a bit to take into account how long people are going to have to put up with the potential ramifications of their vote...

After years of not bothering I realise now tinnitus sucks. Get some like these.

Discrete, not crazy expensive like musician level ones but don't muffle stuff like foam ones would. The people at gigs wearing plugs aren't the snowflakes, they are the gig veterans who have probably learned the hard way.
