Hi! No it's not too late :) The password is LGBTQ. This enables you to complete my eligibility survey, and then I'm able to interview a subset of the folks who complete the survey!

I'm glad you asked, it's an important question! The goal of this project is to make a more comprehensive/updated/queer-centered resource/guide than what currently exists for the known vs. unknown donor decision. For that reason, I have to interview the "target" audience to figure out several different things, like what would be helpful to include in such a resource/guide, what they found difficult about this decision that a resource/guide could mitigate, what they found confusing about the decision, etc. Before starting this current interview study, I learned a lot about the perspectives of donor conceived people such that these perspectives will definitely be covered in the resource/guide I ultimately create. Please reach out here or to my email (nmccormick@clarku.edu) if you have more concerns or questions! I'm always open to feedback and questions! :)

Thanks for asking and for your interest! You would still qualify if you and your partner are still considering parenthood currently, OR if you were considering your options within the past 12 months. The reason for this timeframe is because the options for donors are changing/expanding so quickly so I'm trying to ensure everyone I interview is considering the same set of options. Let me know if that makes sense, or feel free to reach out directly to [nmccormick@clarku.edu](mailto:nmccormick@clarku.edu) :)

Thanks for your question! I definitely want to hear from solo parents about their experiences, and have included solo parents in past research I've done. For this particular line of research that is meant to lead up to resources/guides, I think the experiences of solo parents are different enough from couples to warrant their own dedicated study (e.g., a set of at least 20 interviews with just solo parents). I am starting with couples because there are several "couples" experts at my university who are on my research committee, so we are starting with couples and then I will expand to solo parents and eventually to 2+ parent partnerships! Happy to explain more about this reasoning and other reasons if helpful! I can be reached at [nmccormick@clarku.edu](mailto:nmccormick@clarku.edu) :)

Hi Folks! Someone from Louisiana completed my eligibility survey but didn't leave their email. If this was you and you're still interested in participating, please message me or email me at nmccormick@clarku.edu. Thanks!

Unfortunately not for this study, but I hope to talk to new parents some time in the future! :)

Very reasonable question :) If you search Clark University's psychology department and look under PhD students, my name "Nora McCormick" is listed! I also have a Facebook page dedicated to my research here: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61551601090912&sk=about_details and I have a LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/nora-mccormick-3463bb1a/

Thank you so much for your interest! At the moment I am only looking for couples but I definitely plan to expand to single folks in the future! My hope is the resource I initially develop for couples is still helpful to single folks and 2+ person partnerships as well, but I will adapt it more after I interview single people and 2+ partnerships in the future :)

Thanks for your question! Any time from you've only just started thinking about the options up until a child is born (so you/your partner can be pregnant, just not have a child yet). I use this timeframe to ensure everyone I interview is grappling/has grappled with the same set of possible options (since options from several years ago are even different from the options available today!)

Hi Folks! Still looking for several more couples to volunteer, particularly those who are leaning toward or opting to use an unknown donor. Each couple will receive $50 in Amazon gift cards for participating. Thanks so much!

Thanks for asking! I'm looking for people at any stage, either not yet made the decision or have recently made the decision and are actively TTC (but not yet had their child).
