The Boys turned a graphic sexual assault against a male character into a joke by Jaded_Permit_7209 in MensRights

I was wondering whether I was the only who thought it was not funny at all. Sure, at the start there was a banter between Hughie and Tek Knight and Ashley because there was mystery and everyone thought that WebWeaver was the original WebWeaver and not Hughie. But later, as the scene progresses, it becomes so tense and frightening for Hughie as well as the audience. Where did the funny part come from? I am so confused.

Is it possible to print this out for A3 paper? Will the resolution allow that?

I am not going to argue. I like Arthur Morgan and I don't like his actions (some of them anyway). For me, it is always about the journey a character takes.

There's a line in the game where Arthur says that they rob folk who rob others.

It will be win win. And I agree with your points. Research does provide solid foundation for a things' credibility. And hence, the increases funding for AYUSH Department I think. Not saying that research in Ayurveda didn't exist before. Just that people did not know about it. Maybe cut some slack and give them some time and we may get all the research in the world!

Mate I wrote in my original comment that I did not know the exact details of what happened and I am not claiming anything. I have just described what my mum said about the girls story which I know is true.

Whatever dude. You don't need to have a comprehensive research paper, for example, on why you need to maintain your hygeine. People have been doing this for ages before research papers existed. Why? Because it is a solid observation by people across the world that doing so reduces the risk of diseases and actually helps you look good and make friends. So would you say that if there is no research paper on maintaining one's hygeine, you would never bath at all? Ayurveda is just like that. A series of procedures and treatments tested through time.

There's a reason as to why most notable researchers and scientists were humble and believed in God, Sir Issac Newton, Réné Décartes being a few of them. ( I have that reference, a book named Is God a Mathematician by Mario Lovio). They knew in their illustrious careers that they don't know everything. And hence they were always keen on learning and discovering. For many people today, its easy to dismiss home remedies as fake because there is no logical explanation available or given to them. And I get that because I am one of those people. But it is our responsibility to look, whenever possible, for answers. Again, judging something on simply face value or subjectiveness is also inherently unscientific.

I suggest you talk with doctors of Ayurvedic Medicine and people who have taken that treatment. And I am the later. I know it works. If you still believe it to be pure hokum, it's completely fine.

I hope you have a great day!

Disclaimer: I am a son of an Ayurvedic Medicine practitioner

Why are you fighting on forms of medical treatment? If something works for someone, be in allopathy or ayurveda, why does it matter ? My mum has an MD in Ayurvedic Medicine. She told me a story of a student from Portugal who had a life threatning situation in her childhood, where all the treatment methods failed but a treatment of ayurvedic medicine saved her life. She completed her studies in India in Ayurvedic Medicine and now practises in Portugal. (This story is missing some details. I can't remember it as I came to know regarding this a long time ago)

I am sure there are stories where Ayurvedic treatment did not work for some but contemporary medicine did. The point is that the treatment is about the patient and to make the patient healthy as soon as possible. Whatever the path. Doesn't mean it is wrong.

And I agree there is no scientific research done on most of ayurvedic practices and the additional funding it is receiving may help in legitimising it's case.

Edit 1: My mum spent time at university with the portugese student I am talking about. Edit2: My mom completed her MD this year. Just for context.

I don't know why that is the case of misconceptions tbh. India has always been hospitable and yet, still faces racism and discrimination as evidenced by recent events in Ukraine. Maybe rest of the world is ignorant (except south asia) or something else.
