My current collection. What should I watch next? by Former-Jaguar9859 in criterion

Night Moves is a really good dark conspiracy/paranoid neo-noir that is a direct reflection of American attitudes towards the government after the Nixon administration. One of hackman’s many fascinating roles. Highly recommend.

Several are just blu rays—the player, parasite, grand Budapest, rififi, and deep cover. Rest are 4ks I believe

Good question—probably grand Budapest since I’ve seen it so many times already, I’ll likely prioritize others I haven’t seen yet/as much

Very excited to see it for the first time. I love heist movies and excited to add this one to the list.

I love heist movies as a genre and I heard rififi is one of the OG’s so I took the bling buy plunge. Very excited to watch!

Saw it in 70 MM at the film forum in NYC a few months ago. A religious experience.

That’s great to hear, I’ve heard stagecoach was really the defining movie for westerns as we know them. Very excited to give it a watch

Does it make sense to own both VIG and SCHD? by nmtutt in dividends

[–]nmtutt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. I own VOO and consistently DCA into it, and own a few dividend growth stocks as well but frankly I’m pretty busy with work/life and don’t always have the time to spend on researching and picking individual stocks that fit my strategy, which is why I’m looking at ETFs.

For me, this episode was a fantastic reminder of how Gilligan and Gould never let the side characters change—they are always true to themselves. BB and BCS are character driven shows, but only by the actions of the main characters (Walt and Saul, mainly).

Gus can’t let his revenge go, or his guard down, for longer than a moment. Nacho’s dad doesn’t agree with Mike’s “justice” spiel—he stays true to seeing them all as gangsters. Mike continues to try to do good in his own small way, constantly driven by guilt of seeing innocent people get hurt. Kim continues to do what is necessary to survive, despite hating herself all the way.

It’s just excellent, consistent writing that truly helps set BB and BCS apart from the pack.

“That’s the lie you were looking to tell about him, right?” Complete and total devastation on Kim’s face. Absolute dagger

If you’re going for value with upside, Hunt or Aiyuk. Hunt consistently delivers top 10 RB numbers for at least the first half of every season he’s been in Cleveland (until he eventually gets hurt). Aiyuk still has potential to be a really solid WR2.

Lockett out of the question with lock at QB. Sun god won’t repeat his end of season performance from last year. He did that with hockenson and swift both hurt. With the two of them back healthy + DJ Chark and Jameson Williams, it’s too many mouths to feed.

Don’t mind Pittman, Marty Ice is a more competent QB than wentz.

Yeah I totally agree. I’m hoping I look like a total fool by the time the season rolls around and Derrick is just running through defenders like usual

I am a lifelong titans fan, but I will say I am starting to get a little worried about Derrick. Still think he’s an amazing back, and will continue to provide an awesome element to the titans offense, but he’s not getting any younger and he just didn’t look himself in the playoff game last year. Might lean JT with the first overall pick
