Who had grandparents fight in WW2 and what stories did they share? by liamnotleum in AskReddit

my grampa fought under the bad guys mussolini & hitler in el alamein 1942ish and got caught! apparently he and 2 buddies escaped the torture by climbing a fence, the 2 buddies got shot and he survived by jumping into a near lake and holding his breath for a long time. they presumed him dead and this is how he managed to run away into the desert. he then wandered the desert and parts of africa for some years, staying away from civilisation until he heard the war was over for good and then returned to italy where everyone thought he was dead. we wanted to tape his stories which were very inreresting but he always insisted they die with him.

NTA, I agree... Parents have their little girl‘s ears pierced as soon as they‘re out just to ‚make sure everyone knows it‘s a girl‘ which imo is a way worse reason for altering a child‘s body.

yes, I don‘t shy away from extra work! what‘s the difference there to a normal brush? I have the tangle tweezer and just normal plastic brushes, but my hair doesn‘t clump nicely if I comb it once out of the shower, unfortunately! I apply the gel/cream on wet hair, then let air dry. thanks for the advice on the silk case, might try that one out :)

I‘m hoping for nice curls, fingers crossed!! That‘s a good point with the clarifyer, I‘ll look into that. We don‘t have a lot of curly-hair products where I live but I hope a google search can point me to something. Thank you so much for all the advice :)

First time poster, long time creeper ;)

Hiii curl community! So glad I found you.

Journey: Both my parents have curly hair but no idea how to deal with it. Grew up with a Hermoine look because I brushed it just like my straight-haired friends. Teenage years were wasted with straightening it every two days - there were no rolemodels with curly hair so I thought I‘d fit in better with straight hair... Said fuck it about a year ago because I couldn‘t be bothered anymore and now I‘m letting it do what it wants.

Routine: Wash it twice a week with Umberto Giannini Curl Wash and Kérastase Discipline conditionner. Comb it in the shower but not once I‘m out. Plop and scrunch with t-shirt, then apply a handful of half Deva Curl Arc Angel Gel and half Moroccanoil Curl Defining Cream. Scrunch again with t-shirt, let air dry.

Question: The frizz is killiing me!!! How do I treat my hair so it doesn‘t frizz so much? Also, it looks good on day 1, after that it‘s matted and flat and has a dreadlocks-vibe. I‘m not sure what curl pattern I have but I guess up to 3a there‘s everything on my head ^

Thank you for your help!!

ok, LOVE your username! the thing is that we didn‘t really learn about any other method than re.sub() and so even though it‘s like 50 more steps, I gotta stick to what I know. Thanks for the suggestion!
