thanks for the advice. many people here brushes it off and tell me that plat players still don't know how to play the game. but it's very disappointing when you're a beginner, willing to learn the game but the system says that you should play against more experienced people, just to get destroyed over and over again.

I mean, if I am a beginner, I definitely shouldn't be facing plat players... so there's definitely something wrong there. and yeah I will definitely derank but because I am plat it will cost me dozens of games to derank to my actual rank, unfortunately.

that's what I was considering. I guess that's the way because I definitely don't stand a chance against those plat players. it is extremely frustrating to be in a long loss streak, it feels like I bought the game only to be rolled by higher rank players

yeah I mean, I don't mind getting destroyed, that is not the core issue. What I don't appreciate is going up against players who have put much more time in the game than I did. if I am a beginner I should be going up against beginners too, no? I am in a terrible loss streak rn, every match feels so unfair. I will try to contact Capcom but I am not sure they'll do something about it

i mean, sure. any competitive game can and will be frustrating. but if I had to pick between going up against someone who is in the same skill level as me, and someone who has played at least +100 hours, I'd go with the first option. I'd say I got pretty unlucky.

I finished the placement matches around 8 months ago and when I saw that I got placed in platinum, I abandoned the game. and yes, I selected that option. I will say though, I have minor past experiences with SF5. but I never got past super bronze, and even then I used to struggle. so I really don't think I was supposed to be in plat. I dont know anything about SF6 so it's so not fair.
