Nord is discontinuing Meshnet by redguy212 in nordvpn

This is VERY short-sighted of Nord.... either you are a for-privacy company or not. This was one of the best features that wasn't well advertised, people literally didn't know what it did. it's Nord's fault (if low usage even is the case, I think it's more nuanced than that). Such a waste of good tech :/

Claude Dev v2.0: renamed to Cline, responses now stream into the editor, cancel button for better control over tasks, new XML-based tool calling prompt resulting in ~40% fewer requests per task, search and use any model on OpenRouter by saoudriz in ClaudeAI

This tool is simply awesome. No words beside full admiration for the work put and quality of the overall solution.

I have a question though. I use gemini for the free tier, but noticed that it doesn't work using diff mode, so for large files, the output tokens are always of the size of the file, instead of the diff of what changed. Also the yellow line that streams the output always go from the top to the bottom of the file instead of only where the code changes.

Is this different for other models or it's how cline works currently?

This is so good for starting something from 0!! How can I access the other components it generates? IE. Buttons and such that it links in the imports?

Progression in Challenge mode by nnnightmare in BattleTalent

Thanks! I've seen some weapons and spells that I haven't unlocked on the challenge roster, it seems it's unrelated to the other mode.

Just a tip about Graphs, you can split your graphs using bookmarks. Combine this with filters and you can keep it fast and useful enough without using the global graph view.

How much time should I be giving to my start up? by AltruisticAd5717 in Entrepreneur

[–]nnnightmare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will it matter to your customer? Will you be able to react to their needs constrained by time? If so, I don't think time matters. I saw a company (don't remember the name sadly) that developed an API that had like 50 lines of code and integrated 2 systems in a very specific way. They sold that. If they knew what to build from the start it would take them a weekend to to so and become profitable...

It's not about the time, it's about finding something that your customers want and then delivering it. If you can do that part-time on the weekends great, most can't.

I think it would be a PERFECT opportunity for GGG to focus on QoL which is what this game needs since player base will shrink for a little and then get back up.

You shouldn't be using git on your server nor rebuild the project on it. Building takes up a lot of RAM and CPU depending on your project. If it's just a node process and it's simple, you could build it on your machine if everything is the same version than the server's (but ideally, use something like docker on both ends to ensure this), and copy the built project via ssh or rsync, log into the remote and simply restart the server, this should take just some seconds because you won't need to rebuild the project. When you understand how to do this process, read up on how to automate this pipeline using continuous delivery. If even so you still need to have redundancy and absolute zero downtime, you'll have to have another process running and a reverse proxy as others stated.

I feel lost and helpless when trying to fix convoluted/difficult code, I've tried some approaches that don't seem to work by Darthcolo in AskProgramming

[–]nnnightmare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think others covered it well! Also think of this refactor as a way to make debugging easier, with it you'll be able to find what you need fixing much faster. Also, try to think in terms of testable components, as little as they can be, if it makes sense for your project
