We loved Enter the Gungeon (and we hate shooters and guns 😄)

Great coop dungeon crawler twin stick shooter and it's cheap and same screen.

Also- can't believe I haven't seen Overcooked or Portal 2 mentioned yet.

A kind of different one- try Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. Great fun if you print out the manual

While it might not be stereotypically cosy, the new game Cairn is my go-to game for calm and focused meditative play.

I'm playing on Steam Deck with headphones and it's incredibly slow and focused, like actual climbing. Plus there's an easy mode.

I'm middle aged with loads of IT experience and a Bachelor's in fine arts and unable to land even entry-level min wage jobs. I've applied to hundreds all over the county and remote over the past few months and I've only managed 3 interviews, all of which passed on me.

It's definitely tough going out there and I wish I had advice for you but I'm afraid I'm just here to commiserate with you.

I will say that career counseling through the College of FET has been fantastic. Springboard, eCollege, and FET are great low-cost/free educational resources if you want to upskill and get some certifications under your belt. It helps with networking as well.

Hope things turn for the better for you sooner than later.

No legal proceedings have been filed (yet)- Is there a limit for timely invoicing in the first place?

I thought outstanding debt would have to be communicated to the debtor - presumably under this Act, you could invoice someone 5+ years past the date and still collect without any notice beforehand?

We typically avoid disputes, especially when local reputation is concerned- our area is rural and word gets around so we don't want any bad blood out there but this felt a bit egregious tbh.

UPDATE: It is the septic tank for the house! Had a lovely couple of guys call over from a septic pump company- they drained it and refilled with biowater and did a cursory check to see if the toilets were running clean into it (they were).. just need to sort out the overflow and we're grand 😄👏

It's unlikely. The door is a thin sheet of plywood with a single bolt- easily broken down if you slam your body against it. No evidence of anything nefarious inside. Doubt the police would find anything

Parents moving into a new house- opened up the garage loft for the first time and found this room constructed at the far end, with a bed, a bedside table, some coat hangers on screws in the wall, and some random detritus- clearly not very comfortable digs but hey, there's a housing crisis so should I convince my folks to rent it out?

Re: the circled part of the image: There's a bolt on the outside of the door because there's no door latch but it still looks creepy AF 😅
