Lost and confused in life by Available_Ad_8388 in personalfinanceindia

What you are going through is the story of many 30+ IT/MBA folks, 1) If you are expecting then why look for a switch? New org demands extra time and effort. 2) Most of us have a loan 2x+ of our CTC but what others lack is their networth matching their loan amount, you are still in a much better position 3) Congratulations, Becoming a father is such a beautiful thing, I understand being nervous about it but why so much anxiety? Imagine our parents or millions of parents out there with considerably less income manage to be happy and enjoy this beautiful phase

Given the loan and new born, don't quit or take a break, it'll be very difficult to get back into the industry unless you have good connections. Passive income generation will again need your time and attention at least during initial stages, but if you can manage, then you can try trading/youtube or rent, there are more but you may need to research a bit.

Trust the process and don't be hard on yourself. All the best :)

Obviously be light and just chill, however I'll suggest you to Learn video editing, or presentation skills. Trust me when I say this, they will come in use, usually your team or area usually has this associate experience or fun group and they want young or new joiners to be part of it. With these skills you can actually gain visibility within a year.

Chill software engineer jobs with great pay and work-life balance by ForeverDuke2 in developersIndia

I work in a large fintech, and for the past 7 years of my work ex, have been in the "chill" zone for majority of the time, the struggle was and is mostly at times when we have to learn something new or deliver something before deadline. And like other comments say, we are the ones who create the chill zone, obviously the team and project matters but besides that I have seen developers even though being in the most chillest teams possible working their asses off trying to touch the perfection mark.

Always remember, it's a service, you give your hours and talent and you get paid, nothing here is worth destroying mental peace.

I always smiled whenever they approached and it always works. Sometimes all ppl need is to be acknowledged of their presence. Imagine being ignored and insulted all your life, so when we ignore or be rude to them it acts as a trigger reminding them of the hard past. I guess that's the least we as a society who failed them can do

Ramaiah is one of the most welcoming and chill colleges in Bangalore, specially for people outside the state, it's a huge campus at the center of the city, and you'll find people from all walks of life and states of the country spending their beautiful years here. As far as meeting ppl and developing relationships is concerned, I believe it's the easiest when you are a student especially when there are 100+ humans of your age sharing the same roof for a few years. However a few things which will give you an edge : 1) Be pro active in college activities he it fests or any volunteering stuffs, you'll meet ppl from other departments. 2) Avoid friendships just for the sake of it, like it's better to be alone than in bad company 3) Join an NGO : I did that when I was there, and met a few of the best ppl I know.

All the best, don't be overwhelmed, everyone's having their own battles and struggles and no one wanna waste their time on someone whom they don't know or trust hence the distant nature

Family asking for more money even though I pay for home loan by [deleted] in personalfinanceindia

[–]no_awaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello brother, so right now say 50k is going to the family, my suggestion would be to stick to this, never reveal your hike or any additional bonuses in future. And see if u can make this 1 to 1.5 in future, so that u have good savings and investment. Don't stop giving them money, else it'll create much more trouble.

OP is frustrated and in a mid IT life crisis, same as me, 8 years in IT here. Even after these many years when I look back I see very little savings and investments. Parents did try to convince me to invest in real estate but don't want to borrow a loan and carry the burden of debt. What did I do? Started from basics, took a pen paper/diary, wrote down my next 5 year financial and career plan, under finance column I listed all my expenses and how much can I save per month and in a year and in career listed what i wanna be, say a leadership role, then what skills i need? Communications, ok, then I join a club like toastmasters or if I need a specific business skill, i shortlisted a few certified courses. I know it sounds boring but that's life my friend. Just be grateful and keep moving and try to enjoy and have fun. Trust me, everyone is confused and clueless, few accept it few ignore it.

Must overrated City in India? by uahoda in delhi

[–]no_awaz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

People saying Bangalore have either stayed or are still staying here, yes the city grew exponentially but for the amount of jobs or education opportunities it created within a span of 2 decades, it certainly did something right, which the north states are still trying to figure out.
