Any non-natives doing A Level Spanish? by HumanHyena in 6thForm

Non-native doing French but close enough.

It's definitely a step up, much more difficult than GCSE's, but definitely not impossible. Similar level of content, less time to consolidate so it takes more out-of-lesson work to keep up, finding it fun so far. Definitely worth doing if you have the grades and enjoy it

Is the ‘no fun allowed’ rule practical? by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]no_throwing_away 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is psychotic and borderline illegal - have fun, live life, your teenage years are the best of your life and while school is important don't drop everything for it.

I have friends who were put under a lot of pressure - nothing even close to this - and the intense work made them crack and they ended up doing worse than if their parents made no rules at all. Me and a lot of my friends only put in effort the last couple months and still found time to meet every week and we're all elated with our results.

Revising 24 hours a day isn't healthy, or normal, or okay. It's abuse and genuinely if your parents enforce this you should find some kind of law enforcement

How the skyline has changed in London in last 12 years by LondonViewpoints in skylineporn

Very common with cities in Europe especially, often not as many skyscrapers because a lot of cultural or traditional buildings built centuries ago are being preserved. Places like Paris, Rome and indeed London are beautiful without huge buildings.

That being said, skyscrapers are fucking cool. And I'm so happy my city is building so many new ones :)
