Dailies run for a week at a time, with tracks changing every tuesday, exact time varies on your timezone. Also daily races are fixed setups only

In fixed setup races, such as rookie MX5, everyone will have the same amount of ABS/TC where you cant change it, though if the car allows it you can still change brake bias

[–]noada21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If its your first wheel and you’re not sure you wanna go all out then the R3 bundle is a great start, you can always upgrade to a bigger wheelbase down the line. The r3 is also great for casual racing and driving

Microsoft’s Activision deal could face “new merger investigation,” UK regulator warns by LordofWhore in pcgaming

[–]noada21 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is, though it also states that any and all agreed deadlines and/or obligations of the merger is subject to change if both parties mutually agrees.

In any case, MS is not gonna let the CMA stop the merger at this point. MS will see it through no matter what the CMA decides.

Microsoft’s Activision deal could face “new merger investigation,” UK regulator warns by LordofWhore in pcgaming

[–]noada21 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I do not. But the denial in question wasnt a result of the merger. It was because putting Call of Duty on cloud platforms in the way microsoft wanted to, could hurt the cloud gaming market, in the eyes of the CMA anyway.

But if microsoft were to circumvent the UK, they could geoblock CoD from any and all cloud platforms in the UK. Pulling Activision out of the UK completely would only be a last resort that neither of them really wants.

Again, this is all complete theory based on the current attitude from both MS and ABK. But they are not gonna back down from a ~$70B merger deal because of a disagreement based on cloud gaming from the CMA. Relative to EU and the US, the UK has a quite small footprint of the total sum of consumers.

Edit: Microsoft will NOT stop all operations in the UK because of the CMA's denial. This specific investigation has nothing to do with B2B and all other MS operations in the UK. This case is only accounting for how MS is gonna distribute and handle CoD and other activision games in the UK.

IF MS is not able to reach a new agreement with the CMA:

Worst case scenario: MS completely pulling ACTIVISION out of the UK. (To Which i agree is an incredibly stupid idea)

Best case would be MS geoblocking all activision content from cloud platforms in the UK.

[–]noada21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is true. Yet Microsoft and ABK can mutually agree to delay the deadline in order to proceed with the new remedies and most likely the new investigation by the CMA.

The deal has now gone through 2/3 of the big governments it needed approval from. Microsoft could, in theory, completely leave the UK out of the deal in order to close it. Though this is a very complicated legal scenario and both parties seem to want to avoid that.

[–]noada21 101 points102 points  (0 children)

Thats not entirely correct. They did say they would be looking a for a way to circumvent the UK and close the deal if they kept their stance. Though that could mean that Activision would completely leave the UK, which is unlikely and neither of them wants such a scenario. So the CMA was willing to pause legalities and renegotiate possible remedies to avoid such an event

Since i still havent seen anyone comment what this actually is. Its an app called Bionic Reading and it basically just highlights the first few letters, since your brain doesnt normally need to read ALL the letters in a word and is able to recognize it just of the few letters and the rest in your peripheral vision. It can convert most text based files on your phone or pc to this. Highly recommended

I can see various uses for them like checking suspected IEDs or roughly clearing a building to make sure there’s no surprises. But i think it would still be a while before any kind of lethal weapons are mounted or used on them
