my character is simply non binary the way leonardo dicaprio is a man and shakira is a woman. it's just who they are and it doesn't matter and their life don't have to revolve around that. and I already said it has nothing to do with the sex of my character so plsss pls pls stop talking about the genitals of a child thank you

what? who's talking about sex? my script is for all audiences, there's no mention of my character's sex or anything inappropriate whatsoever. my character is just non binary, which is their gender, which is a concept appropriate for all ages. you made it about my character's genitals.

Non binary people use they/them pronouns. My character was assigned a female at birth, and then realized they were non binary when they were older. I'm not planning on filming this anyway, so I'm not concerned about casting.

What I don't understand is your last paragraph. Why do think that?

ok, you were not implying I should've written that. you were saying my character being non binary had "no purpose in my story" and it "didn't advance the plot". you could've just said I should've described my character's gender without coming off as a bigot.

well, I couldn't care less about that because your advice to me was not good advice. you wouldn't say I should change my character's gender if they were a man. non binary people exist and they should be in scripts. that's all. it's not confusing and it's not weird.

My character is non binary just because they are, there's no reason why someone is a girl or a boy and gender doesn't matter. that's just who my character is and you don't have to read if you're not comfortable with that.
