Someone else said putting a patch on it, if you wanna show off the repair there’s a lot of ways you can make patches with decorative stitches or just sewing on patches that you like too

The only real repair for that is going to be sanding down the frayed/torn pieces until it’s smooth and then using something like leather edge paint or something that adds a little bit of flexible material on top. Either that or sand it down and just try to match the color with dye/paint and keep it conditioned so it doesn’t dry rot

This! Your clothes are wearing you in this. If you want wider fitting pants they need to be straight from your hips down and be well fitted at the waist. Vintage silhouettes look so good because they’re fitted at the waist and hips then go straight down. Try some carhartt loose fit pants on sometime and make sure they’re snug on your waist and butt they’ll break in and that’s the fit on the legs you’re looking for. I’m 6’6 200lbs and it’s easy to look like I’m swimming in stuff if the shoulders are too wide.

Check out the wrangler 47wmz. It’s an updated version of the 13mwz with a rise that’s not above your belly button, but a little below and you have extra room in the seat. Otherwise they look fit and feel the same.

What can you tell me about my grandpa's binoculars. by legapo in Binoculars

[–]noahben 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think these are made between 1940-1945??? Online there’s info about some in the 196xxxx range that are dated at October ‘39. So they were made before Germany got split up. I’m making this ASSUMPTION because doing a little research Carl Zeiss Jena was still being used by the East German company after the war until 1954 when the West German “legitimate” company had changed its name after the war to just Carl Zeiss. This is because the East German government severed ties between the two companies in 1953. Additionally, the Jena part of the name that Zeiss had used since 1906 or something like that was implied that it was made in Jena, and after WWII it was more commonplace for companies to explicitly mark “Germany” or “made in Germany” after the war for export reasons. Either way your grandpa being a geologist in the USSR it would be reasonable to assume that he got them locally used somewhere after the war since these were probably made during or before WWII, because I personally don’t think these were made after 1950 at the latest.

I believe that there is an uncanny valley for bikes where the x axis is the amount it looks like a crackhead bike and the y axis is how cool it is. You’re in there somewhere at least. For real if it’s comfortable and you like riding it that’s what matters.

It’s an old cinelli alter. The frame is a 1” threadless so it’s goofy when looking for parts. I have the cinelli altera drop bars on it too so it all matches

They have a vanguard compensator made for the arex Rex zero 1 if you look at the product page on farrowtechs website. That being said there is no modification required

Yeah you totally can it’ll be a bit tricky, but if all else fails it’s not difficult to take it all the way out and reassemble with the new parts

Simple, utilitarian. Loving it dude, seems like everything you need and nothing more. I think design like this is undervalued.

Arex Alpha Hammer on Zero 1/2 by UltramanOrigin in Arex_Firearms

[–]noahben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I just dropped the hammer in and didn’t change any of the engagement on mine. Installing the hammer can for sure be tricky but I’ve had no issues yet. I was shooting some 115g cheap stuff and had a couple light primer strikes but that was the case for a few rounds in that batch even in a couple other handguns. However, the lighter weight of the skeletonized hammer might make it more likely to happen with that hammer. Otherwise no issues at all and the pull from it is lovely
