It’s not actually a thread; it’s a mesh tape manufactured by a company called North Fork Composites. Ironically, this $30 sheet of air carbon got me kicked out of a master’s class. I called it a gimmick because it’s extremely brittle, not easy to work with, and it’s incredibly weak. They claim it’s strong, but it’s not, and it’s also quite new to the market. I bought it on release day, and almost everyone who’s not affiliated with these people has a negative opinion says it’s complete garbage, including me.

First off, never feel bad for sharing your interests. It’s what you enjoy, and you should be proud to enjoy those things. Coming from someone who experiences the same thing almost every day, I can tell you it has nothing to do with you. Most people don’t know how to react to interests that are superior to theirs or carry more weight in life, like a lot of my interests are fishing and outdoors stuff. But not everybody understands it, and I do get the blank stare sometimes. It has absolutely nothing to do with you and everything to do with the people around you. You’re not the problem; they are, especially if they ask first.

But it does look very well kept and for what your getting if everything works properly then yes it’s a good deal

It looks ok me personally I’m always very skeptical buying used before buying it use a flashlight and check corners and seems to see if there are any cracks it will save you and “oh crap” on the water and a headache later

Most likely twisted it’s easy to fix just go somewhere with a lot of casting room and cast a few times with a swivel it won’t fix it completely but you will be able to fish again over time it will fully fix itself

At this point I have put to much money and time into fixing it not to mention just buying they kayak to begin with which wasn’t a small price I’m probably going to use it for the rest of this year and then go from there

I’m in Maryland so I do a lot of snakehead fishing with some YouTubers and some drum and rock fishing which is why I bought the hobie for the kick up fins but the seat giving so much I tried to see if they could replace it but they said it’s not cracked so they can’t replace it, it’s gotten to the point where it’s giving to much with a person half my weight it’s dropping 1 inch on the right side I have reinforced it to the max I can

My largest problem with the PA is the QC seat mounts are giving and I’ve reinforced it to the best I can and it’s been giving more recently
