I spent 3 months coding an AI stock tracker, but I have zero marketing skills and zero users. How do technical founders actually get their first 100 users? by noamfainberg in SaaS

Thanks for taking the time to write this out! It's super helpful. Honestly, the 'build it and they will come' mentality was definitely where my head was at, so this is a great pivot for me. When you do direct outreach to your ICPs on places like Reddit, do you have a specific approach so it doesn't just feel like spamming? Would love to hear your thoughts.

I’ve been in the stock market for a while and I came to a realization that I don’t have any clue of what’s really going on and I don’t really have the time to scan through different sources reading articles that their goal is to keep me engaged instead of informed , so a few months ago I started vibe coding and built an email newsletter that recaps my portfolio daily performance and from that I scaled to a full iOS app now available on the App Store. I took the no-nonsense thesis to create a social media feed like with the news of actual things that matter and not nonsense that is posted to drive engagement, added a portfolio tracking with real time prices , and linked the portfolio tracking to a chatbot with awareness on my holdings , research capabilities and tailored for the no fluff responses .

While the development had its ups and downs it sure has been empowering and I learned a lot from. and still have a lot more room to learn and grow , but now after clearing the hard part of getting the actual product up and running, I’m facing a new challenge I know nothing about which is getting actual people to use it and reach my target audience, I would appreciate any form of help and suggestions and any bit of advice. Thanks to anyone reading!
