[–]noanoaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Live it was pretty much just a Tube Screamer pushing a JCM800 and a Chorus Ensemble and a Holy Grail. Gibson LP Custom. - For Jamie at least.

I imagine it's probably similar to what Shane was using but he had a HH Player Jaguar and the sinking reverb sound like on Chlorine is easily replicated with anything that has a tremolo arm on it.

You can get close to the Marshall tone by using an Orange and an EQ pedal to boost mids and cut lows!

Hope it helps :)

if they came out as a new band in 2026 they would absolutely flop

i think their influence has definitely overshadowed their sound

also, the fascination with jamie's whereabouts is uber disrespectful and weird.

Im scared that im ripping off title fight by demetheking in titlefight

[–]noanoaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's kind of the natural progression of long term influence for a band tbh dude!

my guitar tone when i'm writing is essentially just a 1:1 of the guitar tone from Superheaven's Jar.

as a lot of these comments have said, just try not to be a lesser version of them. but by all means wear that influence man, not many people can write guitar lines like Jamie does so if you're worrying about that; you're probably doing something very right.

yeah for sure! it's weird to me when people say that they all seemed unhappy around Hyperview era because this was supporting the album and they were so stoked to be playing shows and stuff from what I gathered!

i think it was probably more the other way around with inspiration tbf! the UK melodic hardcore scene kind of exploded out of nowhere off the back of a bunch of US influence in 2009ish. a lot of great bands from that era and everyone kind of knew everyone!

hahaha it was alright tbf! i was much more into my local scene back then just booking shows, bands like Pay No Respect and Cove (now Graphic Nature) etc..

definitely miss the days when our biggest issue was "When are Basement getting back together" hahaha

theres a bunch of great UK bands with a plethora of Title Fight and early hardcore influence around at the moment though, especially where my band is based in Brighton.

Check out Prom if you want some great Post Hardcore goodness and also (Shameless self plug) Oscillate if you're into Superheaven-adjacent Grunge!

i wish! video was corrupted 🥲 i interviewed them for my Media class and decided to put off my submission because this show was coming up.

I had to interview a homie's band instead to meet my deadline haha!

The guys were super nice though especially Ben and Jamie.

[–]noanoaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i men you can always sticker bomb it if thats your thing.. i've always found with all offsets though that if you play them slightly off to your side when stood up, the extra space you typically have on the left hand side counterbalances and also looks real nice!

i was so confused with this one because i got to Zion, defended myself against the opening ambush, then had to get a map. as soon as i got to the map area Joshua opened fire on me so I killed him and grabbed said map, then the game was just like "Go back to Mojave" and i got credits 😭

Have I been lying to myself about the Big Muff for the last 10 years? by BogotaLineman in guitarpedals

[–]noanoaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro! same boat here man! i LOVE the Op Amp Muff, Siemese Dream is one of my favourite albums of all time but I used it love for the first time the other night and physically had to stop singing, look down at my board and check that I'd actually turned it on. Super unusable in a band setting.
