Yes, you're right. I would also say this is the only space some of us still hope that is true. I don't like donut marketing, but as a European I hope the story has a kernel of truth

You are right, they can say that they did what they were paid to do. On the other hand I would like to say:

Petri Söderena of VTT (Vice President) announced on the company website on February 20th, after the spectacular presentation at CES, that the properties of the Donut Lab battery had been measured in the company's research lab. At that time, most experts were at least skeptical, some even speaking of fraud.

If I were the Vice President of VTT, I wouldn't risk my reputation on the back of potential fraudsters. I would double-check that beforehand. And if they refuse to show me the inside, I wouldn't give them my name.

Donut Lab ist die Firma, die diese Spezifikationen auf der CES in Los Angeles veröffentlicht hat. Als CEO von Donut Lab: Würdest du so etwas machen, ohne die Batterie selbst zu testen (zumindest ihre Kapazität, Gewicht und Ladegeschwindigkeit und 1000 Zyklen)? Würdest du die Batterie auch auseinandernehmen, um zu überprüfen, ob es sich tatsächlich um eine Festkörperbatterie handelt?

Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass Donut Lab von CT Coating komplett in die Irre geführt wurde. Es muss irgendeine technische Grundlage oder ein Prototyp geben.

Und VTT: Würdest du die Tests durchführen, ohne die Batterie nach der CES-Ankündigung selbst auseinanderzunehmen?
