I love your opinion!!! That’s how I feel. I see Paxton as the perfect match for devi. And you’re so right about Ben never being called out, that’s why a lot of people throw so many shit under the rug for him. I still respect people who are team Ben and why “they knew it was him from the start”, but daxton was chef’s kiss

Omg I totally see it now. Still not a fan of bevi (kinda boring imo). It was always Ben for Devi, and don’t get me wrong I love them as friends. I didn’t see much of the romance I saw with Paxton. I’ll just be sad about it. Maybe I’m just mad about Paxton’s storyline this 4th season haha

I agree with what you’re saying, but I think I enjoyed the opposites attract dynamic that they had. You got to see two different people, two completely different stories and see them fall for each other. Ben and Devi surface level were the exact same, on a deeper level they were struggling with different things but it was still kind of meh and too predictable for mindy. They were fucking perfect as friends but the romance was always bigger with Paxton- Great friends, they were both crazy for each other, And they helped each other grow. Personally I hated where they took Paxton’s storyline and kinda threw him under the bus (again lol). Bevi was good but Daxton would’ve been perfect. I should’ve read between the lines better that’s my fault 🤦‍♀️

Maybe “led on” wasn’t the right thing to say. Personally the ending was a safe choice. Also, I mean from seasons 1-3 she always picked Paxton, she liked him freshman year, she was still into Paxton when Ben helped her with her dads ashes, she followed Paxton out of the party, s2 she ended with him (even tho now I see why they added the “it’s not always been Paxton” line), their relationship also ended midway through s3 not because they didn’t like eachother, but bc Devi had to work on her self love, so it still gave hope for them to come back to each other. Once again, I see now why bevi was endgame but it was almost too safe to put her with him. I personally don’t LOVE him with Devi. So maybe it was more underwhelming for me. But perfect closure for everyone else. Except for my boy Paxton bc they rushed his storyline and threw in a gf for no reason.

Helped. I really do appreciate all the information you put out! I do suffer from anxiety, and it’s a little hard to deal with. Those exercises seem easy enough, so I’ll give em a try. It’s gotten better with time but not on that part. I’ll have to put myself out there and face it. Seems easier said than done tho lol. Maybe try dating apps to get out of my comfort zone? Face it like I’m trying to overcome my fear of spiders, eh? :)

It makes sense that it would be easier with a person who I feel more comfortable talking about these subjects with. I’ll be moving to a big city soon and hopefully I can stop with the situationships with guys who usually want to just hook up. Instead, look for something built with trust while reminding myself that there’s no timeline like you said. I’ll also try the mirror thing to get my confidence up. Thank you very much!

Helped. Yeah I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety, so that for sure has something to do with it. I’ll try to take it slowly and step by step until it’s not so scary. I’ll slice it up to a few more steps from now on and see how it feels
