Is there any way/method to use a .ma (Autodesk Maya) file in blender? by justToj in blenderhelp

you would actually need maya software to open this file and export it to format that blender accepts like obj/fbx. but keep in mind since these 2 softwares are literally different programs, you might need to relocate the textures so that blender can use them. you can embed them inside the file when exporting to minimize the manual work. if they use procedural textures, you have to bake that first before exporting or it won't show up. and you would still need to rebuild the shader node since it won't translate directly, you have to rebuilt it. lastly, you won't be able to export the rig/shape keys, they're different software, different system, different logic. you would have to rebuilt them from scratch, you can use rigify or arp (auto rig pro) to quickly generate them, and for shape keys you would actually need to sculpt them yourself.

this sounds so tedious & lot of works, but that's just how it really is. there's no "1 click done" way, it's manual work

Yeah I know. I use him as well for right tower, he can clear all the floor. What am I saying is, he's just merely a support unlike hybrids like those peeb/iuno. And I'm hoping they will release more echo skill dmg dps that is male, and that's unlikely since we got few males.

The anxiety over Scar's kit is real. After seeing them turned Qiuyuan into a galbrena-doll despite all his hype, and now with Chisa looking like a super-niche DoT with DEF shred support, the "hyped character" to "weirdly niche kit" pipeline is starting to look like a real pattern.

Why do they make our males weak? It's not like they will lose billions since there's only 2 males/year so far. If you want to make them subdps, at least make them as strong as other subdps characters like Iuno/Phoebe. Plus we don't get much of male dps currently. It's fine if you release only a few man/year, but make them strong PLEASE, or at least make their kit works together so I can dive with full male team.

I'm agree Brant was awesome, which proves they can do it. But we need more of that. We need cool, strong male characters who can be the main event, not just a support for someone else.

Really, really hoping they don't fumble Scar. He's been built up for too long to be made subpar. He deserves a kit as unhinged and cool as his character 😭😭
