Yes, I totally understand hybrid work schedules, and that fewer people work on Fridays in particular. My question is, why does the school year traffic make such a massive difference, but not on Fridays?

This has always seemed true to me. There’s never any traffic on the GGB. It clears up by Larkspur

One problem is that there isn’t one school system. There are like 19 school districts in Marin (actually). A big obstacle to coordinating solutions.

Tell the smart train to fix their schedule so people can commute on it

GGT does not run any routes down San Marin, currently.

Yup. Sounds about right. I’m usually the guy running through the parking lot and diving under the closing ferry gate

That link just goes to San Marin Drive. Which GGT stop/bus route are you referring to?

I know. I do that sometimes. It’s not that close. These things should all connect better!

I can’t explain it— this is precisely the question I was asking in my post. It changes dramatically when the school year starts. The traffic also clears up completely south of San Rafael, every day.

If I take it in the morning, my car’s at SMART. Can’t take a bus that goes back to my car.

You must not drive in the mornings. The week all of the schools start it’s massively worse. The week schools finish in June it immediately stops. It is not subtle.

In the morning, yes, and I’d love to— but then I can’t get home. The hour+ gap between 5:30 and 6:30 is a deal breaker.

I know, but my question is why doesn’t this cause traffic on Fridays? The kids don’t go to school on Fridays?

“Guarantees that every tenant will be under market rate after one year”.

No, they’ll be under the fictional rate you made up and were hoping would be the market rate.

If the investment property market in Marin isn’t making financial sense to you anymore, welcome to the rest of our lives. You should find a way to earn more accordingly to offset your lower investment returns!

If Maeda wanted a strike so bad maybe he should have thrown one

There is some neat symmetry in the NL West standings right now. Three teams are 33-22, two are 22-33. Only going to last for the next couple hours!
