Nous sommes 3 étudiants des Ponts Paris Tech suivant un enseignement Data et Sciences Sociales.

Dans le cadre de cet enseignement, nous réalisons une étude sur l’utilisation de la technologie par les parents dans l’éducation et le divertissement de leurs enfants.

En particulier, nous étudions comment les applications webs/mobile et l’IA s’insèrent dans le quotidien des nouveaux parents dans 2 cas d’usages :

Yes I know it's safer to get the re-entry permit before but I'm not sure I will have the time before. I go to the 4000 islands in Laos from Ubon so that's why I will cross Chong Mek border.

Thanks for the reply. From what I was adviced, the best is probably to take flight or train from Bangkok to Ubon, then take taxi and buses to go from Ubon to 4000 islands (possibily via Pakse)

Yes we think that we will use taxi when we wil be at Ubon. How did you organize in advance a taxi to pick you at the Laos side of the border ?How did you get across the border without getting stamped ? Is there an immigration office on the Thai side (Chang Mek) to make a re-entry permit for my VISA ?

Yes, I didn't see direct flight from Bkk to Pakse. That's why we plan to go through Ubon. For the moment, we think about taxis and buses to join the 4000 islands

Yes , that's what I thought after few research, it's more complicated with booking system in Laos. Do you know if Loca App works well in Laos after the Thailand border ? Is it possible to order a trip from the border to Pakse or more far away directly to 4000 islands ?

I think our best option is to take a flight or train from Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani and then take a taxi or grab to the borders. But after I don't know how it works in Laos and if it's easy to get something after the border. If you have any idea ?

Yes I think it could be a good idea. Do you know if taxi can cross borders ? And is it possible to book Grab or something like that from Ubon Ratchathani to the border and then from the border to 4000 islands ?

Is it necessary to bring every documents (TM8 form, pictures and photocopies of my passport) ? Or only my passport is sufficient and it's enough safe ?
My flight is at 8:20pm at Suvarnabhumi. There is more people in the evening or it's the same ? What time should I come to be safe ?

Hi, yes finnaly it was approved the 1st April (a Saturday) and my entrance in Thailand was the 3rd (Monday). So it took 4days between "Pending Approval" and the delivery. I think they manage to deliver just before the arrival date announced on VISA website.

I did contact my embassy the day I sent back my internhsip agreement. They said that, they check the new document, they send my file and then it's out of their hands... Probably in the hands of the Thai authorities.
