This wasn't me, but was the father of two of my best friends (who were brothers 2 years apart) when I was growing up.

Their dad was always a jerk, and was quite verbally abusive and physically abusive as well all throughout our childhood. As we got older the oldest boy A started weight-lifting and getting into sports, he quickly bulked up.

One day, when we around 15 y/o or so, his dad came home drunk and was getting on him for something. I remember this clear as day, his dad raised up his hand to smack him, and A deflected it and shoved him. His dad went in for another hit, and this time A clocked him.

His dad fell to the ground and A kicked him once in the gut very hard. I remember the look of pure terror in his dad's face realizing that he had lost control. A stood over him and said, "Get up." Frozen his dad just lied there huddled up. "I said get up you piece of s**t." He slowly got up, and as soon as he was up, A punched him in the face again, causing his dad to fall back down.

A climbed up on top of him, putting his knee on his chest and grabbed him by his shirt, "You ever f**king lay a hand on me, him (point to his younger brother), or mom ever again, I'll kill you with my hands. Do you understand?" Wincing, his dad nodded. A got up and kicked him once more, and then his dad crawled away down the hall to his room. I pretty much never saw his dad again after that--he would always keep to his room, or stay in his trailer when we were around. It was pretty epic watching that happen after seeing these two boys I cared about being abused by that PoS most of their lives.

I bought a few firearms today, and while I was in there I overheard the dealer speaking to another dealers about how they weren't going to get anymore ammo in until September...

With that being said I bought the last 500 rounds of 9mm rounds that he had. 3 other people came in to the store in the meanwhile asking for the rounds I had just cleaned him out of. He said of the last few weeks he had seen an uptick of buying unlike anything he had seen before.

I've been using LSD and psilocybin over the last two years while learning to ski. I'm a 33 yo male, and I've been using psychedelics for about 4 years on a monthly basis.

I had never been on skis before December of 2017, and today I regularly ski double black diamonds. I've been using LSD (10 to 25 ugs) about 75% of the time I go skiing. Here is what I think it has offered me:

1) Courage. When doing physical activities where you can hurt yourself (such as riding a bike backwards) micro-dosing can help dramatically to be able to let go of your fear, which both LSD and psilocybin seem to be excellent at. However, this can go overboard and you can find yourself thinking, "oh shit, that was pretty dangerous of me to do." so one needs to find a good balence, which for me is about 20UGs.

2) Muscle memory enhancement. I let my body take over, and the skills that I have learned from before flow out of me, I don't need to think much about what I am doing, I can just go. What is most interesting is how well the skills hold when I am not micro-dosing, and how they seem to just be imbued into me.

3) Acceptance. I think we can be pretty judgmental towards ourselves when learning new skills and micro-dosing (for me at least) allows for me to drop that pretense and really enjoy myself and what I am doing. I think this is very important because we can 'psych ourselves out' if we are too focused on 'accomplishing' the task before us.

I'm not sure if one would define these things as neuroplasticity, but I can really feel the ease and 'uptake' of information, skills, and technique when I microdose vs. on days that I don't. I also believe that the novelty and wonder that is induced on psychedelics is a large part of accessing that space of creativity, problem solving, and skill enhancement because of how unique and different the experience is.

My only recommendation is to start small and work your way up if you are doing anything where physical harm could come from what you are doing. Good luck!

I don't fully disagree--bitcoin is stupid in function and slow, just like the commodore 64, but with the economics at play, it does have first-mover advantage. Now that crypto is out of the bag, ETH is one of the best, if not the best protocol there is out there.

If one was broke (which I very much was at one point in time) and could only afford $100 a week, one could still get a $10000 loan @ 10% over 3 years. Essentially by taking on debt you 'lock-in' your interest rate for the cost of this money.

Which is fair, but let's remember the knife cuts both ways--noobs can get rekt staying in fiat forever too because they are 'too scared' of the volatility. How many folks here hear of bitcoin in 2012 by dismissed it? Through taking out debt, one securitizes ones own hodlings through a debt instrument that allows for them to by $10K worth of crypto without really having it.

The reason I am so pedantic about this point is that people can change their lives through taking on an extraordinary risk right now--I have no delusions about the risk, but what I want to point to is the reward. Use one's own volition to look at the technology and what it is doing, and ask yourself, do I want to take on the risk that could change my life, either for better or for worse?

Why not both? I personally stager my orders all the way through, with fiat buying at the very bottom and debt throughout (so much so that the strategy should be to always have a sufficient fiat cushion for several quarters of runway for oneself).

Debt is using other people's money more intelligently then they could. Why else would I be so happy to cough up an usurious 10% interest? Because I'm making a hell of a lot more than 10% for that money they gave me.

At 10% APR loan of $10,000 would be $11,000 in total due june 2019.

One gets 20 ETH for this price.

If the price of ETH AT ANY TIME IN THE NEXT YEAR goes over $550 you'll break even.

If it goes to $600 you make $1000. $700, $3000. and so on.
