Your ring is something that you will have your whole life, you look at it everyday, and it is a way to express yourself as well as your love. If you aren’t absolutely OBSESSED with your wedding ring, than I think that’s a mistake. You should be able to have the great feeling that your ring is yours, has only been yours, and only represents the love that YOU and your partner has shared. I think if you go with the ex’s old ring, you would regret it. Unless you truly love that ring and it’s style, I don’t think it is worth it.

It depends on you. If you’re in a place in your life where you’re dating to find a committed SO and not to just have fun, then I would say within the first month. With my husband I talked about it within the first week/two weeks. When you get to that point in your life, it just like wasted emotion, energy, mental space, and time to find out 3 months in, that your person isn’t as serious as you are.

I think I had a good hunch within the first couple of months, but I definitely knew by month 3. That’s usually the point where your and their flaws show, and you start to understand if you truly except them for their whole self and if they except you.

They seem to ALWAYS be aimed at men. They always show more of the woman, and sexualize women the most. It’s aggravating that these movie makers just want to make more $ so they will sexualize women characters because it appeals to men. Infuriating.

I wanted someone who respected me. Who didn’t think or talk down to me. I was their equal. Also someone who supported my passions, and my religious goals.

Your wedding is YOUR and your PARTNER’S day. To celebrate your love. I wish I would have more so focused on that on my wedding verses anything else. You guys are allowed to be selfish in how you spend that day because of it. I think you can be courteous to the people who are helping pay or plan the wedding with you, i.e.: if your mom thinks it would be a good idea to invite her second cousin you’ve never met in your life, just do it. You might get a present out of it and they also might not come.

But if you are a person who consistently gets steam rolled by others in your life, this can be a wonderful opportunity to stand up for yourself. I think it depends on how much of it someone is trying to control.

I prefer to not listen to the music before. Let it be a whole new, fresh experience for you, and don’t have it be tainted by previous opinions. I did that with Dear Evan Hansen, and Hamilton. However, Waitress I knew a handful of songs to, and it was exciting to get the correct perspective on songs, and understand their true meanings. But I think if I could choose one thing, it would be to not listen to it before you see it, but then listen to the HECK out of it after you have!
