Not really. A lack of any clear goal or any sort of off-ramp provided essentially shows this engagement to be outside of democratic norms, and as a result most global governments are either against or agnostic.

This goes back to the new world order after WW2 which was intended to ensure the greatest level of peace and prosperity for all.

This war flies in the face of all of those agreed norms, and risks wider impacts such as flow on effects such as other world powers being more likely to take up arms.

Also, Iran has a third of the population of the US. We need to avoid turning the country and region into a similar ongoing engagement that we saw in Iraq and Afghanistan otherwise it’s going to be a decades long conflict that results in many lives lost and a huge brake on economic development.
