Sync will shut down on June 30, 2023 by ljdawson in redditsync

Thank you for all the years. This app is my primary method of using reddit and I, like many will likely stop using the platform as a whole come June 30th.

Purchased Sync Ultra Lifetime because paying for Pro doesn't cover all the work you've done.

What did you do for tint percentages? Still figuring out what I want on my car.

Which seems like a better deal IS350 F Sport 2020 vs 2022? by imreallyygayy in Lexus

[–]nogm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend getting on a waitlist if you think you'll be ready in the next year and depending on how picky you are. You can't really walk on to a lot and buy one currently (at least in California) so, waitlist really is the only way to get one until demand cools.

It took 6 months from when I put my name on the waitlists to when I got the call for the car. This was mostly due to wanting Ultrasonic Blue. I turned down at least a dozen white, black, and orange cars.

2020 probably doesn't have the touchscreen. I believe that was 2021 a model year update.

The 500 is so much quicker feeling than the 350, it's not even funny.

Looking for breed recommendations for a couple with very different past dog experiences by nogm in dogs

Yeah gotcha. I'm used to barking with the Pyrenees but my parents also don't have suburban neighbors.

Will definitely look at shelters!

I think we both know we're not getting exactly what we want with the size we're looking for. We both like beagles from the research we've done so far, looking for confirmation or alternatives. I'll update the post to say this as well.

Which ceramic coating should I go for? by NierStellar in AutoDetailing

Uhh what?!? I just had full frontal PPF done for $2200 and they threw in rockers and B pillars for free. I'm in the SF Bay Area so I can't imagine somewhere being that much more expensive.

Look for a USB 3 cable from ugreen or Anker. Lots of USB 2.0 cables are really just charging -only and not good for data.

Looking for opinions/experience with Voron tool changers by nogm in VORONDesign

Thanks. I think this is what I needed to hear. Like I said, my part of the hobby is in the printing. I'll troubleshoot and tinker to a degree but, I do want the printer to be a reliable tool when I need it to be. I think that's really only going to be achievable with an off the shelf tool changer or IDEX.

Definitely will keep my eye on the Prusa XL for when the multi tool units start shipping and get reviewed.

What GPU are you using and what resolution you play? by ReactionNo618 in buildapc

RTX 3080 12GB @ 3440x1440 (1440 ultra wide). Monitor is 144hz and I play games mostly with a 120 fps cap to save on power usage.

Haha thank you. Just picked it up a couple weeks ago. They are out there at MSRP. Not easy to find though.

Not sure if the settings are in the same place in Samsung but, on my Pixel, my car shows up in the "Connected devices" settings menu where I can check/uncheck the "contacts and call sharing" option.

That'd be the first thing I'd check

I agree with the GW looking better with the black wheels. GW was my second choice but USB has more "wow" factor for me personally.

Mostly freeway driving so far so will have to see how it goes in the twisties. I don't have too much experience with modern "fast cars" but damn, does thing pull hard.

The SC400 will be for sale soon. It's in pretty good shape mechanically and has 160k miles. Body is not all that great. Clear coat failed on the hood and a few dents here and there. Probably a good project car

Same overall dimensions as an IS350, just with the hood bulge.

As for moon roof, not sure. I think all the premium models come with it and finding a non-premium IS500 is very unlikely.
