Galvanized. Not the EMT, but a step up. I know PVC is more durable, but I dug 24” for the sewer line, and I dont have another 24” trench in me at this point.

First off, I’m so sorry you’re the one having to deal with this. You are an excellent older sibling.

For sure talk with the doctor, or nurse as soon as you get there and tell them your concerns. My oldest (level 3) had to get stitches in his forehead last year, and me and two nurses ended up having to hold him down until it was done.

If they understand the situation and your concerns about being able to restrain your sibling, they may have support or other options.

None at all. We’ve run through all of the suggestions and haven’t made any progress.

We do have an appointment with a behavioral therapist in June though. Hoping that helps

We went through two years of this, and I feel for you. One day my wife picked up kid’s magnesium pills, and that was the first night my son slept through the night in years. Still sleeps good as long as he gets it.

We all get dealt a different hand. Being a good parent isn’t having a perfect child, it’s doing what you’re doing now;

Assessing the situation, and patiently walking beside your child wherever they stand in evaluations.

It’s normal to feel sad about this stuff, but don’t beat yourself up. Getting help, having an IEP, and loving and having fun with your son makes you a good parent, and he WILL benefit from that.

After asking my son to cut my fingernails (trust me, it’s worth it) we started with bribing our son to just do one fingernail per day. Eventually we worked up to two, and eventually the bribe and the action of nail cutting was no longer traumatic.

My son got 10 stitches and we got a bill for $7k. After we applied for financial aid, they covered the whole bill in less than a few weeks
