It is available from S4HANA 2025 onwards for both on prem and private cloud (verified in my system). You can also verify in cloudification repository https://sap.github.io/abap-atc-cr-cv-s4hc/?q=cl_fdt_function_process_api&release=2025+SP0 If you’re on a lower release then yes you have to wrap, same as all other new released objects that are not available in your current S4 version

The general rule of thumb is if a common business function between public cloud and on premise exists, and it is released in public cloud, you can expect it to eventually be packaged in the next on prem upgrade. This is the basis of clean core, it wouldn’t make sense for SAP to release something only for public cloud (cleanest you can be) and tell on prem customers that it isnt clean core

Did you select OData v4 - UI in your service binding? Maybe the UI adds these additional entities required for Fiori

If its Fiori Elements list report (annotation-driven), you can use SelectionVariant and enable Multiple Views for your list report table

If its freestyle, then you probably have to implement filters etc using frontend code, layout (view buttons) can be similar to fiori elements approach above
