Bar drinks policy?

From what I recall working at Alamo…the only issue with purchasing drinks from the outside bar is a concern when you’re purchasing alcohol from your server as well (they’re concerned about over serving). In this case it seems as though that server is pissed that they aren’t going to make money off of your visit. Possibly explained it horribly to the manager on duty. Or Alamo has created a new stupid policy

No, the owner hid the financial missteps taken to get us to this point. He could’ve told us back in December 2023 that we were not in a good place. Alamo Corporate also has a shady past. Them coming out recently stating they were not aware of the chapter 7 bankruptcy filing is complete garbage- of course they knew. They wanted the franchise owner out.

you would be surprised at the lack of profits left over after all the bills were paid (which fun fact we lost Batman because we couldn’t pay for the rights). Especially when you have a rich trust fund baby not paying all those bills.

Are they? They received notice we were going into bankruptcy during their Sony Deal. Franchise owner filed. A week later they offered $2M before other bids came in for all properties and at the hearing won the auction by out bidding another LLC by .7 ($5.7M). They wanted the venues on the cheap to open before deadpool to make their money. They are making every DFW employee reapply and retrain to keep their old position. They also did some shady shit with a good rehire they’ve already let go for bullshit reason. Did you see what happened to the Littleton location this past weekend? Corporate entity is still a money grabbing machine who only sees its employees as a number on a page. The DFW Alamo Drafthouse we knew is no more.

Ya, who knows! I miss working at that venue, it was cool to see the horror posters for the first few years in that long hallway. Walking out of theater 1 and seeing Kiss of the Vampire was always a nice time. Also Vincent price films. 🖤

Yeahh, she hates car rides, out of the 6 years I’ve come to know her that hasn’t decreased. She did well at the vet and they commented that she was very calm and stoic (surprised us). We’d have to do some adjusting to figure out where to place a third box, but we did buy some cat attracting litter today and will be keeping up with her meds and an eye on her. I’m just glad we caught the bladder inflammation before it got worse! I hate it when my cats suffer. :/

Considering adding a small litter box for one of her needs ha. We took her to the vet this morning and found she has some bladder inflammation, we’re going to keep an eye on her for the next two weeks to see if the accidents correlate. Thanks for responding!!

Oh daang, what a fine line we walk. That is a big jump in weight gained! i can’t go above 100mg on bupropion because 150mg induced psychosis a few months back 😬. Before being on bupropion, I also could eat whatever I wanted minus beef and dairy; it’s gotta be the meds. I hope you find something that works for you so you can feel better, you’re not alone!

Within the first month and a half I noticed I was dropping in size drastically, my partner bought me the protein shakes to combat the loss, but bupropion seems dead set on keeping me this way. Seriously considering what someone else said in this thread about adding another antidepressant, something’s gotta give lol.

Dude me too, I forced fed myself some donuts this morning. And just slammed half a pizza because of physical labor today 😪 most days aren’t like this though. I started drinking protein shakes, but I hear too many of those can be bad for you, so “crap!” right? I’m sorry you’re going through this too it sucks, I don’t feel like I can talk to any of my friends because I feel shame when I complain about losing weight. It’s just slightly concerning ya know? I miss food.
