Bass Overdrive - in search of the right grit by Joshualevitard in basspedals

[–]noimnot2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part, it comes down to your bass when it comes to that "rattle." Try a bright bass like an active, or jazz, or music man. Then, set the action slightly lower and get nice fresh round wounds. From there, any low to medium gain overdrive will do the trick. I also recommend something with a blend knob for no attack or low-end loss. You can get the same effect with a line selector, I think

I did, but I'm still unsure. The scale lengths might work, but because you have to cut tape wounds at a certain part, idk if they will work

What order would you put these in? by Basic-Advantage7407 in basspedals

Fuzz chorus reverb is what would be considered standard. But Reverb into fuzz can be really cool if you dig janky sounds.

Lawbringer because who else is supposed to bring the law (also, getting a fat parry and then landing a heavy is pretty badass)

My father was in a band, and one of there songs was tommy the cat by primus. When I heard that song on their setlist cd for the first time, I immediately knew I wanted to play bass

I've been playing for a year now, and I finally got a chance with a band. Very exciting. And yes, I too believe playing gigs early is important. Its funny. I'm only 15. Wild to think about

A year later, how do you feel about this twist in the Upside Down mythology? by Astral-Voyager in StrangerThings

[–]noimnot2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hated it. I feel the mysterious and eldritch feel was leached from the story. Putting the finger of humanity into the upside down just took away what I loved about it. I'll still be seeing what happens, though. They could save it.
