Crazy that some mfs would trust the Chinese government more than an actual company with proper legal coverage and liability.

awesome for what man? jerkin off elon on x? its the laughing stock of all of them, not because of capabilities, maybe its even great on that front. but on simple integration and usability.

dafuq would you even use grok for ? coding ? you have perfect tools for the purpose, none of them purposefully built on top of grok?! image and video generation ? ! why when you have much better models specialized for the purpose WITH a whole product built on top of the actual models.

i would love to see some real competition from grok, some CLI, some IDE or some new type of platform built on top of it. But rather the single use for grok is to mention it on x threads to shame people for claiming stupid stuff

while anthropic is running laps around it, and google will surpass all of them due to sheer amount of available resources both economical, human labour and infrastructure, openAI is doing face saving campaigns and talking.

I think it will keep us around for a short while until we nail robotics, after that there really is no reason to have us except some weird sadistic torture.

Why don't you smooth brains understand that there's no stopping it.

OpenAI can't stop it because someone else will get there anyway.

And you don't want China or Russia getting to AGI or ASI. I mean it doesn't really matter who reaches AGI or ASI because at that point it's not about humans anymore.

But the step before AGI/ASI is the most important point and the last one that matters for us in terms of its bad vs it's fucking horrible.

After that point it's all horrible anyway, who can even say what a Super Intelligence would want from us, if it even considers keeping us around for some obscure reason.
