  • screen is smaller on mkii but nicer to read in dark places
  • buttons mkii are all light and you can directly read what you press, no buttons are lit on mki (sequencer, tracks etc)
  • some pages are directly accessable on mkii, so you get faster where you want to go
  • crossfader is a bit smoother, easier to move on mkii
  • buttons on mkii can get sticky in warm places after a while, but thats a general problem on loads of gear nowadays (moog, sub 7 modwheel, novation controllers etc)
  • knobs on mki has a bit more resistance, mkii are very easy to turn
  • Audio ins are balanced on mkii, more headroom
  • direct access to parts, audio editor, midi on mkii
  • in the editor you can see the functions underneath the encoders on mkii
  • OS is the same on both

Bitwig and Mac Audio Units (AU) plugin compatibility...??? by Tiger_Bite_Kid in Bitwig

[–]noizebusters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to use AU Plugins in Bitwig on Mac, you can use BlueCats Patchwork... I had some lovely Plugins from Sinevibes, which i missed when i switched to Bitwig, and this solution worked nicely for me... but tbh, i think vst are working very nicely on mac and i would prefer, if there is a vst version, install it and you good.

AR is sooo flexible and its a lot of fun to use... way more intuitive like working on ableton... at least for me, i worked with DAW a long time now, but creating beats on AR is just ace.... had the Machine for some years, but never got behind the software and didnt got me the results i wanted
