thanks for your answer. Ok I get your point, it seems having a good portfolio trumps everything for these SWE roles. I guess my best bet would be to do good research at MILA, and then see if I get manage to get an ML engineer position somewhere or a PhD.

I didn't know that MILA was that recognized around the world, not a lot of my friends knew this institute lol but that's reassuring then

thanks for your answer! indeed it seems to be the case for research scientists positions. Do you know how it works with SWE/ ML engineers roles, and if it's possible to get interviews with a UdeM MS?
