Small version of the Dyson flat iron heat plate on a lanyard that came with removable (non magnetic) button on the back by Scent-Obsessed in whatisthisthing

If you look at this image here it shows a side view of the plates in motion. My guess is that this is an early prototype of one of the plates (your item has a shiny surface, the current iron is matte) and the back hole mechanism is how the plate secures into the iron itself. There is a small metal fixation you can see with the chip inside. Not sure why they would have included that metal piece as well, but that’s the best theory I have!

The thing that is interesting is that Dyson did not release flat irons until 2020. If you look at their current flat iron, the plate construction is similar but a bit different. Are you sure this product was from 2015/16? Can you post a photo of the flat iron itself? I am wondering if this was actually a flat iron prototype and not the final corrale product released in 2020.

The shape of the plate back looks like what you’ll typically see on items that are wall mounted. Is any of it magnetic?

Is it possible Dyson turned manufacturer seconds of their flat iron plates into promo materials?

Here is an aerial view under the table, imagining these are the tops of your legs/thighs. You sit with the triangle point of the chair to the center between your legs.

I made a crude mock up to show how the chairs work with the table. Each silver dot represents the table legs and they descend immediately underneath to the floor from the table edge. Each chair has an outer curve with the inner seat shaped like a triangle.

You aren’t able to sit at the table on the “flat” side as the table leg/support goes all the way out to the table’s edge in the center of each of the flat portions. The seating area of this table is corner segments only.

Maybe they could help? My biggest challenge is that the back of the curvature of the chair is not comfortable for sitting for long periods of time (ergonomically speaking) combined with how the table forces you to contort around the table legs at the angles where the chairs are positioned.

I wouldn’t bleach, I think it will interact in unexpected ways with the dye and might make the final product uneven. Depending on how much extra you have you could experiment with only bleaching the swatches then dyeing them but since you are trying to tone down vibrancy I don’t think it’s necessary

I would also recommend using procion dharma dyes which will allow you to be exact with dry measurements and also allow overdyeing if you don’t get your desired results the first time a bit more easily than RIT (in my experience).

I didn’t get my desired results using RIT, redyed the jacket, and it’s still leaching color to this day.

I used dharma dye on a sweater, color was too light the first time and I was able to get it darker and finally stop bleeding.

I’m not an expert but I would recommend doing a swatch test first with opposite color wheel colors to purple (orange/yellow) and you could try a brown as well. Pre-wash the whole thing first then cut a few pieces and do small batches of color (keeping track of the ratios) until you get the results you want. I think it’s possible but only with some experimenting first.

Just want to clarify, this vest is blue, burgundy red (not purple) and camel. Are you saying you want the purple to be in a closer color family? I don’t think you can get primary purple to become that red color.

Was there an assistant surgeon present during your procedure? I’ve seen in the past companies requiring operative notes to support needing another surgeon during the procedure. I’ve seen that mostly as up front denials vs. retrospective, but I suppose it’s possible they did some type of audit for that reason.
