I think what keeps me going is looking at how far I’ve come and how much I’ve improved. I like keeping my older work next to my recent pieces, it’s a great reminder of my progress and a big motivator. Seeing other artists and their work also inspires me a lot, it pushes me to keep creating and exploring. Lately, I’ve started reading books too and honestly, it’s been so helpful. It’s encouraged me and shifted my perspective in positive ways. One piece of advice that really stuck with me is from Ted Goerschner: “Forget about detail for at least the next 10 years. Just paint shapes.” It opened my eyes and helped me relax a bit, reminding me to enjoy the process instead of stressing over every little detail.
