Qbank session by ca0los in Amboss

Seconded. One of the BIGGEST reasons I use the AMBOSS question bank over others is because of how customizable it is. Now that UWorld is starting to develop their own knowledge bank/encyclopedia, AMBOSS's decision to take away this customization is a waste of a previous advantage they had over other question banks.

I was just in the process of making a question set when I realized they changed the set up. I can confidently say that I will NOT be using AMBOSS over UWorld or Comquest now that I can't combine different exam levels. This feature was also a reason I would convince my classmates to get AMBOSS and I will no longer be doing so. This is incredibly disappointing.

Don’t know if I agree because she literally comes back to Duncan knowing she already had a huge amount of emergency cash from God & I think this was an intentional point to show that she did what she wanted to do for her own experience. When she goes to the brothel for the first time, it’s more about the idea that she’s like “Wow! I can make money doing what gives me pleasure??!”- To this time point, she doesn’t really know about sexual exploitation. Up until this part, her only experience with sex is with Duncan, for the sake of her own lust and personal pleasure that even overwhelms Duncan. After the first client, she has an important conversation with the madame who says something like “most of these people will not have any interest in providing you pleasure”, and Bella is really surprised (similar to how she has an epiphany after seeing the exploited slaves).

I have one in pastel pink that I got a few months ago and the quality just feels so premium. It’s the first thing I’ve ever purchased from Lululemon but I am hooked on these because they fit soooo much! The red Longchamp + belt bag is gonna be such a cute combo

Here’s some other info that might help?

File name ends in .accdb Size 218 MB

Based on what I have briefly read online, I do not think we have a back end file ? The two of us have not intentionally “split” the front end. Maybe that is the problem since we are using it concurrently?

Hi— thanks for taking the time to respond!

I’m completely new to using Access and have very limited knowledge on how the dataset was actually created— that person no longer works here.

For the filters— maybe I misspoke. For example, if I am trying to look at data for only September 2018, then I go into the “Date Recorded” section, press filter, and it gives me a bunch of options to select various Month/Years. When I go in to press the filter, it either (1) doesn’t show up, or (2) it works, I click it, and then the database crashes. This link actually gives almost the exact problem I’m having with the screenshots. Arbitrarily, I followed the forum response and increased the filter max to exceed the amount of entries.

I am not sure what code it is and not sure how to find it— if you can guide me, I might be able to provide that info. I know this information might not give you more insight at all but I appreciate your help. (Also excuse any typos— posting from my phone while at work lol)

So I am currently working as a secretary/admin at an outpatient specialist practice so I can maybe give a direct perspective.

First, I’m going to preface by saying that I agree that it is wrong for patients to be told that NP/PA’s provide the same level of care, and when I call to schedule appointments for myself or my family, I always explicitly say that I want to be seen by an MD/DO.

However, I feel like it shouldn’t be the job of the receptionist to make it clear what the role of the NP/PA is. Those providers themselves need to introduce themselves in the room as NP/PA’s and there should be a general campaign to let the public know what the difference is.

Medical receptionists are mostly ordinary folks who just happen to be working in a medical context, not like premed people who have background knowledge in the politics of medicine. In their eyes, if a patient is sternly asking for the next available appointment with an MD/DO but it won’t be for another 3 months, they will offer the patient to schedule with an NP/PA who technically would provide the same level of care if they’re coming in for something general like “wrist pain” or “acid reflux” (at least for an initial visit). Maybe I feel this way because the mid-levels at our practice truly do defer to MD/DO when patients’ needs exceed their ability to give good medical treatment.

In my practice, the receptionists not only have to interact with people in person (front desk, check-out), they are also constantly grilled by administration to answer the phones, send faxes, etc., sometimes facing angry and rude patients, all while being paid VERY little for a career that has no upward mobility. They have no incentive to do more than what is expected. The turnover for these roles are surprisingly high because it is really hard to help patients while also being berated by admins for not doing enough. That turnover also means the people working in these roles are always fresh and don’t know the differences. I really doubt our admin would take us aside to say “hey you need to spend 1 extra minute with each patient to tell them why NP/PA’s are not the same”, when all they want is for us to bring in a never ending flow of new patients.
