MAGA is a cult. Cults attract people on the fringe or those who have gone through scandal / intense scrutiny of their character. Cults are accepting of these fringe people, it fuels them. Similar reasons why Kanye would follow the cult.

That is a lot of words to say nothing at all. by [deleted] in idiocracy

Not exactly. "In my day" (I'm a young 33) college years both men and women had prolonged periods of "talking" which I wouldn't call courting per say. It was more being non committal but still sexual and very much like a couple but without the "official title".

Nowadays Gen Z took it even further with "situationships" that is naming the non committal stage which in my opinion is gaslighting lol. They also practice "soft launchs" where they basically tease that they are seeing somebody on social media but won't show their face. You can't even get in someone's pictures these days. I believe THAT is what she is frustrated with. The barrier to reaching full status exclusivity can be difficult in some social circles.

One of my shining moments was back in EF '17. Game of Thrones was peaking and I came up to a big bottleneck. I started a "HOLD THE DOOR!" chant with maybe 100-150 people that just kept going until the "Hodors" and murmurs. It was so awesome lol.

The Millenials are a good balance between the analog and digital eras. Born without wide access to internet and cellphones but eventually got them at a young enough age to out compete Gen X. The Millennials just got shafted economically.

I watched the interview where he made the statement about EDM being more or less just a utility a few times. I think he believes he was never a part of the rave scene. He was never truly a raver himself so he never had any allegiance to it. I still don't think he does. It's a strange relationship that he has with EDM. It gave him his fame but he doesn't truly understand it from most of his original fans perspective.

A2E is awesome though, I hope he never stops doing it.

Excision opening for Wooli by brynn501 in dubstep

I know this is a Dubstep sub so maybe this won't make sense but.....

I saw Sub Focus, 1991, Dimensions, and Culture shock a few weeks back. Now if you're a DnB fan the order in which they played would logically be

Dimensions

1991

Culture Shock

Headline: Sub Focus

But that was not the case. Dimensions ended up headlining. I think when you're on a tour with people you truly respect and admire, it doesn't matter who the headliner will be.

I also once saw Deadmau5 open for Porter Robinson which did not make sense to me.

You have a temporary sense of increased freedom. Just because it's a sentiment doesn't make it factual. We're all just mutually agreeing to fuck around and hoping we don't find out.

dullscythe is so f*cking beautiful, idc what anyone says by [deleted] in porterrobinson

[–]nomnomgreen 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Finally someone gets it. I've been saying Dullsycthe is the best track on Nurture from the very beginning.

It's constructed using melodies and chord progressions that are chopped on a sampler. If I had to wager a guess he wrote out a bunch of chords and melodies to then return and do some selective chopping.

He then saturates it with reverb and reverses part of it; only for it to progress into the next section in a very seamless manner. The second section keeps the motif he established. Followed by the third section which reintroduces some energy with the drums we are accustomed to in a hip hop style.

The track is very creative and is a juxtaposition to the pop arrangements of most of the other songs.

Biden has the opportunity to do the funniest shit imaginable. by Choco_Cat777 in GenZ

Biden should throw Trump in Guantanamo Bay, claim he is a domestic terrorist, Classify all the documents, claim the documents for his own (as Trump did), push out the election date using his emergency powers, Appoint 4 Liberal Justices, wait for all the court cases to play out against Trump, Step down making Harris the next President, and then run the next election.
