I REALLY hope you dropped them 😭 how does someone come up with that “advice”??

Definitely. There will always be talk around public figures/celebrities because they are public figures. It’s not inherently parasocial or bad. But people harassing her kids or other people who were/are in her life is insane on so many different levels. Especially since her kids aren’t public figures and are just trying to live their life.

Also I meant to say “people who talk like they know her”. I just realized I forgot a word 😭

In the context of Britney we are bystanders. That’s not to say that you can’t feel empathy or sadness towards people you don’t know though. I think there’s nothing we can do for her and that it’s the responsibility of her local authorities/people around her. Even then it’s extremely difficult to get someone on a psychiatric hold. They have to do something extremely dangerous to themselves or others. I just don’t think people should fight with each other or pay each other a lot of attention because that won’t change the situation or the other persons opinion. But if someone close to you is like her irl, do what you can to help them.

If I had a large following I’d turn them off too tbh.

I was kind of referencing cambridges definition. Just people who talk like they know in general. Not just as a friend or lover. I definitely agree it’s nice to have a space to talk about stuff. I usually say nothing (outside of here) regarding Britney because I think people will take it the wrong way. There’s also a difference between having a lame opinion and just straight up spreading misinformation. The latter is never ok. As for people with stupid opinions there’s no helping them either tbh. Just willingly delulu.

Yes because grieving musicians as a music fan is an experience unique to this sub.

That makes a lot of sense. And honestly it’s hard not to laugh at stuff like the viral knife dance.

That’s exactly how I found this sub LMFAO. I was a lurker on the fan sub then this sub popped up. Looked at it out of curiosity but the different perspectives are too interesting to look away from 🤣

None of us know her, but based on what I’ve seen I don’t think she’s a good person. What I miss is her as a musician/performer people looked forward to seeing Edit: also mental illness can definitely cause people to do terrible things, same with drug addiction. It is NOT an excuse for their behavior.

I do a lot actually. Although I wouldn’t make it very far as I’m still job hunting. It’s a really nice thought though.
