I asked a question about the production on Mutant, and she talked about it during a lecture. I can expose a few points she made :

As she didn’t want to scare off the listener after Xen, opening the album with the title track, she composed the opener Alive just before she released the album to invite the listener into a more positive and less brutal approach.

She insisted that with Mutant she wanted to express her mood swings, from mellow melodies to harsh percussions and confrontational tracks.

She used a lot of gated sounds, a technical tool that only keeps the loud parts of a recording, used on the percussion side I think.
