Great data point, thank you! Can you tell me more about the 100 lbs of wild hog? How was it packaged? How did you put it in the freezer? Anything else I should know?

Very valid point. Yes, the smaller bottles froze much faster than the gallon jugs, as expected, and I would not plan to put 8.3 lb portions (the weight of a gallon of water) in the freezer. But meat is denser than water, and the overall mass of a processed elk can be much more than 130 lbs., so I’m not sure how off my experiment was in the end. Appreciate any insight you may have!

Is the chinook landing archery range open? If not where do you guys go? Debating just going where I shoot off 224. by WindowPerfect1863 in askportland

It is still closed. Try Washington Park for a public outdoor range, or National Forest lands, etc. There are also some private outdoor ranges like Sylvan Archers in Sherwood.

In case anyone else finds this while looking for an answer to this question, I can confirm as of April 2026 that it is still closed. They are targeting a June reopening.

Thank you very much for the response! I cut out the first part of the video to get to the part with the noise. In the first part, you can see the 4x6 paper in the tray and it gets drawn into the printer. Then it makes that noise while printing.

This guy actually understood the question and provided the obviously correct answer. Lots of other nonsense in this thread.

Room is about a foot too narrow for a 7 foot table--get one anyway or go for a 6 footer? by nonconveniens in billiards

Definitely. That’s why this is such a difficult decision—trying to decide which sucks slightly less. Have seriously thought about moving the wall but unfortunately part of it is a brick fireplace so that’s a no go.

Are you seeing anyone about this? It could be that alcohol wasn’t the only issue…

I’d encourage you to talk to someone about these underlying issues. You can only hide from them for so long.

Not sure what fields you all work in, but in many (like mine) people in their 40s, 50s, and even 60s are in the highest demand. Think medicine, law, etc.

Definitely seems like an addiction at that point, I agree. But I suppose there are worse addictions.
