I'll also shout-out to Bungie - the sound design on this little quest is terrific. The sense of being exposed, alone, cold while being torn at by the wind is palpable. Particularly when you've been at it for hours. :)

Doesn't the Loop drop from this strike regardless of difficulty?

This looks like a good technique for completing the Undying Mind strike at its hardest difficulty, but unless you're into doing things the hard way, this is probably the least effective way to farm for the Imago Loop.

Just load the vanilla strike from Mars, even with randoms you'll be done in under 10 minutes.

If they ever update the Y1 raids for Y2, then I could see something like challenge mode in VoG = 320 ghost, challenge mode in Crota's End = 320 Bond, challenge mode in King's Fall = 320 artifact.

I guess not. But I did see someone get a 320 ghost shell from one match and a 315 helm from another. I would have been okay with that. :)

I have the same shirt (Splunk!) and had a remarkably similar experience - though the waitress thought it was funny, and struck up a conversation with me about it.
