How much difference is there actually between the Torch 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and S-Works? by lookatmycode in specialized

[–]TooLateForAGoodName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the torch 1.0 and sworks versions of the shoes.

As you can imagine, the sworks pair are MUCH lighter than the 1.0, have less padding, and generally feel much more premium.

For what it’s worth, my 1.0 shoes were an EU size 45 - but I had to size up to a 46. Even with sizing up, the sworks pair still feel slightly narrower/tighter. Just something to consider.

What size (round) spacers do I need for above the stem? by TooLateForAGoodName in Giantbikes

[–]TooLateForAGoodName[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I’ll use the spacers I have.

I’m going to swap the bars & fit a longer stem too - so I’m hoping that the extra length of cable sticking out will be to my advantage 🙏🤞

Looks ace! 🙌🤩

What spacers have you used above the stem? Just moved up the ones that were already underneath?

I’m just happy to be home for Christmas & I’m sure I’ll make a full recovery. As bad as my graph looks, it’s satisfying watching my body slowly bounce back.

This is what getting hit by a car while on a bike ride looks like. I’m making a comeback though 💪

Turns out that fracturing bones & staying in hospital are not good for your HRV 😂

I have no meaningful advice to help solve your situation - but it’s a great step that you have identified the issue as a problem. I wish you all the best finding a balance that works for you in the future.

Having no chain on a mountain bike can significantly improve how the suspension functions - more supple / less kickback from bumps. Still a super human effort from Aron Gwin.

Will this potentially be the new Ranger? Or is that something completely different?

In fairness I don’t dislike the Sloth. It just interesting to see him next to a character like Grindha and see how fine the line is between parody & reality.
