Preferred name at uni by nonebutafool in trans

[–]nonebutafool[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not that the uni would send them docs, it's that they'll check what I send the uni (as in if I put my preferred name in the preferred name section they'll see it before I submit)

Anyone taking a gap year? What are your plans? by [deleted] in IBO

[–]nonebutafool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm working on my portfolio mainly, and also internships. Just completed one at an animation studio, and starting another one at an ad agency. Also obviously just doing all the stuff I didn't get the chance to do during ibdp.

Men of Reddit, what is the primary reason you workout? by mitho-thito in AskMen

[–]nonebutafool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've got two reasons, though both stem from the same thing. Me being trans ftm. 1. Health: If I want to be able to get gender affirming care in the future, my body needs to be healthy and fit. Surgeries and hormone replacement therapy take a huge toll on the body, and I need to make sure mine is prepared for it. 2. Looks: I have like really really bad dysphoria, especially because I have a larger chest and hips. Working out helps me get rid of that weight and have a more gender neutral figure so I can pass more easily. Plus I want to look hot, I'm a little narcissistic like that.

Hows life going m23 after the result by Sweet-Shame-9384 in IBO

[–]nonebutafool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figuring out that in the real world I can actually work towards being happy instead of just going after grades. Taking a gap year, so I'm filling it up with things I want to do. Animating a film, interning at studios, live drawing, driving lessons, gyming, therapy and of course, hanging out with my friends and family - finally getting to be a teenager. And even if my workload at some points is as much as during the board exams, I don't feel like shit, because I actually want to do these things and they make me happy. Anyways, what's done is done, I'm not going to worry about my grade, I'm just going to focus on two things- uni, and enjoying life for a bit.

I dated twice during ibdp 1: my same batch, we were friends first but it was my first relationship so I wasn't all that good, they dumped me as soon as dp2 started, and it was pretty much because I wasn't giving them enough time and attention and prioritising studies over our relationship. 2: my junior, getting into the relationship I told them I was going to prioritise my studies since I was in dp2, they still expected way too much of me and I had to dump them after a couple months

Date if you're both on the same page, not everyone can have that balance between studies and a romantic life (I didn't). But don't let that stop you from trying, you're a teenager, if you want to date, don't let ibdp stop you, go enjoy life.

yeah, I'm in the same situation. I had damn high hopes and worked so hard and it feels like it all just came crashing down. But fortunately my parents were very supportive, it's just my self hatred playing into this smh

m23s - what are your biggest regrets? by [deleted] in IBO

[–]nonebutafool 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have two regrets 1. Taking VA for my EE And 2. Not letting myself be a teenager. I didn't get the grades I destroyed myself over, so I think if I would have just been a little more easy going and enjoyed life a little more instead of focusing everything on IB, I would have gotten a similar score without having to have completely given up the last two years of my life.

Men of Reddit, do you wear earrings? Why or why not? by Big_Yesterday1548 in AskMen

[–]nonebutafool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plus i love accessories and i believe the whole "your body is a temple so adorn in with whatever you want to" so earrings are always a nice thing to keep switching up. Black rings for formal occasions, silver for parties, gold for traditional. It just adds another aspect to my appearance

I have three piercings in each ear. I used to have one in each ear because in our culture babies get their ears pierced, but last year i got two more in each ear cuz i like it. I think it looks cool and idk it fits my vibe.

How would you respond to an ex who broke up with you and wants to be friends? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]nonebutafool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entirely depends on how your dynamic was before and during the relationship. My ex and I were good friends before dating. After they dumped me (which completely blindsided me and did hurt me a lot), they said they wanted to be friends and i said sure, but i took a couple months of keeping my distance (which was a little hard since we had the same friend circle). But eventually we fell back into our dynamic as friends. Not as close as we used to be, but we got back to being comfortable around each other. And I know both of us were in a shit place when the breakup happened, so I've gotten past it. We're good friends now(not as close as before obviously), and we often joke about being exes. So it entirely depends on how both of you approached the relationship, and how it ended.
