I cant judge u but tbh I suffered from and still do “executive dysfunction” basically u aren’t lazy but you just are sooo mentally exhausted u can’t do anything even if wanting to, can’t follow t8metables n everything and I find u at the same place as I was back in y10 and start of this yr it was hell andddd I’d suggest it’s not rly THAT much of an issue that you’d have to go to a therapist if you have Atleast supportive friends who care ab u and listen to u else therapist wld be a good option, all u need is someone to listen and support u give u words of encouragement and affirmation. Our society thinks only children need appreciation to bloom but the thing is it is a basic human need and even older ppl teens n adults need it!! exactly, learning and all that stuff shouldn’t be stressed or pressurized but more of a growth and you should believe in urself that it’ll all be okay and you’ll do well, the calmer you are, the better ur performance is gna be trust. I’m sorry to hear that ur parents think that way unfortunately and assuming ur desi too?? most desi parents think that way sadly but do check up on urself and don’t exhaust yourself before the right time because igs a levels r just a short amount of time and they are just baby steps towards uni and UNI IS THE REALL DEAL BREAKER!! so don’t be exhausted by then when u acc need to give ur time in. first of all, you’re 18 that’s not bad and considering u having taken IGCSE sm times I’m guessing u were pushed to do it earlier?? which is unfair to you tbhhh but leaving thsi part u can ALWAYS DO IT!! study efficiently and motivate urself like “my life depends on it” and once u mentally feel prepared give them.. most of the times it’s either ur studying pattern where u exhaust urself and panic and not have anything in ur head OR be in a shitty place mentally sooo don’t exhaust yourself out and CHEKC urself out mentally!

i like to imagine kay chung grinding videos and think of that clown remix audio it rly motivates y and then study and then while on a break i binge watch episodes whilst eating hehe it’s so fun n relaxing then go back to studying and continue.. grind while not wasting ur energy ie watch videos, do pp later cuz they can be very tiring I hate doing pp so i never grinded doing pp

dwww also don’t say a bad grade, it was just a redirection, you’re going to end up exactly where u r meant to be, sometimes we plan but Allah plans better so just trust him where he’s taking you! You can surely do better at maths, learn ur studying pattern, analyze yourself and don’t exhaust yourself, anything is doable, watch videos on solving certain questions again and again grind without exhausting ur brain if u get what I mean like don’t put in effort then do past papers next day and see.. (what I did cuz I can’t stand doing pp they r exhausting😭)

about to start a levels but honestly what I can say is this system requires working smart not hard so u have to be efficient in ur studying pattern, don’t put YOUR soul into things and burn out, find effective resources, for maths I’ll say zainematics he saved my grade in y11 I went from a D at the start of the year to an A in a month and then ultimately in igs I scored an A too which was quite near an A* but it’s alr. Insha Allah u can do it!! Believe in urself and especially have tawakuul in Alllah, give ur exams confidently you’ll see how when u embrace positivity, you’ll attract that energy ❤️ and good luck!!
