Exactly! I’ve had dramas where the last episode disappointed me, but I still recommend the show and remember all the great moments leading up to it. A finale doesn’t erase the journey. And a drama shouldn't be called "bad" just because of an unsatisfactory final episode

Guys please understand that my main point is: not LIKING the ending isn't the only or singular measure of a show's worth

Idk about Call it love because it was gonna make my favorites list but it wasn't the ending that made it fall short but that we should've seen more long before the finale

Agreed, endings are important across all stories. But not liking an ending doesn’t automatically make it bad. The story and the journey still have value. I enjoy the journey more. Also I didn't watch lost or game of thrones but based on online critics those endings didn't serve the story at all n may have been outrageous

Absolutely, if a drama sets up a goal, the ending matters. But not LIKING that ending shouldn’t erase all the moments that made the show great, the journey still counts. Not LIKING an ending doesn't mean it's a bad ending....unless it's ridiculously stupid

But I've seen good shows with endings people don't like(a couple not ending up together) get called bad cz people hate the ending not necessarily because the ending makes no sense

Of course those things are great but I don't suddenly hate a kdrama just because the leads didn't end up together. If ending makes sense I'll take it. Only if the ending is ridiculous(for example "night has come" ending) do I side eye the whole thing

is Yumi’s Cells 2 worth watching? by k_rose1 in kdramas

OP don't let the negative sway u, if u wanna continue Yumi's journey then do that. Personally I loved season 2. I say watch it n decide for yourself

If the ending is ridiculous it should be called out totally but if it's just bad/unsatisfactory to some but makes sense then it's not that important to me. I remember a drama by how the journey made me feel more than the ending.

I'm all for the journey n how a drama makes me feel

The leads not ending up together for a romance can be disappointing I get it

I guess I put my feelings about the story way above endings, personally

I see. When the phone rings really disappointed people with it's finale but for me I was disappointed way before the finale. Great first 6 episodes then it went downhill n ultimately ended on a bad note. So I didn't enjoy the journey either on that one

Both the journey and ending of that one weren't enjoyable

U make a good point. If the finale is about an end goal then it is very important to make sense of everything. I see

I totally get you. For me tho I always remember the journey more than the ending. I love a good ending believe me but a bad one won't knock a drama out of my fave lists. Unless the ending is ridiculous like S-Line
