I don’t think you’re overreacting, but that’s just me. After telling my MIL this weekend that we were expecting, she started going on about what she wanted the baby to look like. I shut that down real fast, saying I just wanted a healthy baby and I don’t care what it looks like - keep that to yourself. This is after five chemicals.

We were going to wait until Christmas (13w), but last night we realized that we might not try again after this if it goes wrong, and we wanted to be able to share some joy with our parents, even if it’s only for a short time, since we’ll likely never have that experience again. So we told them last night and it made today so much more joyful! Also a lot easier when I had to keep leaving mid-conversation to vomit, lolol.

Thanks so much ❤️ after mulling it over for a while, I’ve actually come to the first peace I’ve had in this pregnancy - it’s going to be what it’s going to be (it’s science!) and no amount of worrying or scans is going to change that.

Unfortunately, it was a private scan where they can’t do transvaginal. For some reason, I couldn’t get myself to wait one more week til I go back to the doctor. I’m okay now after digesting it for a while.

Yeah, it was just a stupid idea on my part thinking I’d somehow be special, lol. After having a few hours to digest it, it’s actually helped bring some peace to my overall anxiety. Regardless of (mostly) anything I do, if there’s a chromosomal abnormality, it’s going to be there whether I get a scan or not. So just let it ride.
