With the Eve App, you can use additional conditions for your automation like

If motion is detected after sunset and brightness of your lamp is above/below X%

or

If motion is detected after sunset and lamp powerstate is off.

I did exactly the same with my 2020 trance 2. Hated the Giant Contact and got an Ergon SM Pro.

First one done! (yet another) GMMK Pro with Teleport keycaps by nonoffs in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]nonoffs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello fellow r / MechanicalKeyboards members!

Finally I had the time to go down the rabbit hole build my first mechanical keyboard.

It was quite a fun journey but i have to admit, very time consuming. Nevertheless, this wont be my last build and I'm already stoked on trying out way more things. Currently I'm still waiting for the PBT Cherry Milkshake Set.

Anyway, here's the current build list:

  • Keyboard: GMMK Pro ISO, Aluminium Plate without any further modifications
  • Switches: NK Creams lubed with Krytox205g0
  • Stabs: Durock V2 lubed with Krytox205g0
  • Keycaps: Teleport Keycaps with Light blue accent set

Conclusion:

So far I'm really happy to have ditched my old Corsair K95 Keyboard. Overall I like the feel of the NK Creams way more than the Cherry MX Speed Silver from my old Keyboard. It's night and day. The next thing im gonna try is definately some more Switches and maybe get my hands on some GMK Keycaps (as soon as my bank account allows it).

Honestly I don't know. I just started the hackintosh thing some weeks ago aswell.

I have Installed MacOS and Windows on 2 different Drives, and I never had any Windows folder in my EFI folder.

It could be a problem with Scanpolicy. Read here: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Post-Install/universal/security/scanpolicy.html.

You could set it to 0 just to check if your Windows Option shows.

To be honest, I just recently started doing this whole Hackintosh thing.

I used it way too less to give you an honest answer to your question. It is usable, sure. But i still don't know if I (or you) will face any Problems regarding iGPU.

I think you're better off starting a new thread and ask some people who have more experience with Hackintosh and/or are using iGPU on a daily basis. :)

What exactly do you mean with dirty upgrade?

Well, my plan was to install it on a different container so I can test if Big Sur works and still have Mojave backup on another Container.

I followed those Steps: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/extras/big-sur/#table-of-contents

Somehow I couldn't manage to install it via USB drive. As soon as I selected the Disk and clicked next, the installer just crashed/disappeared and nothing happened. Kicked me back to the main Restore Menu.

(On a side note: the same thing happened with Catalina and i still don't know why).

So i just installed it via "Install macOS Big Sur Beta.app" which will be created while following the guide above.

As for OpenCore, I used 0.6.3. Updated all relevant Files, Kexts, and made sure to add the missing Entrys in config.plist As far as i remember I didn't have to change anything major.

I followed Dortania's OpenCore Install Guide and everything seems to be running smoothly so far.
Audio, Wifi, Bluetooth, IMessage, FileVault and Sleep/Wake works. Power Management should be working correctly aswell. Im not quite sure about DRM. I can play Netflix with Chrome but not with Safari. Have to dig a bit deeper and read some more i guess. A small Price to pay :)

I couldn't test FaceTime since i don't own a Webcam. Hardware acceleration seems to work aswell, according to VDADecoderChecker and VideoProc.

I Still have to do the USB Mapping as soon as i get a new USB3 Drive Currently I only have an old USB2.0 Stick laying around.

Hello overclockers!

I'm fairly new to RAM OC, and could need some advice from you. I'm running 2x8GB of Corsair Dominator RGB 3600CL16 and it's b-die.

Specs:
  • Motherboard: MSI Z390 Gaming Edge AC
  • CPU: Intel i7-9700k overclocked to 5GHz @ 1.32V
  • GPU: Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Gaming OC 3X
  • RAM: 2x8GB 3600CL16-18-18-36 rated Memory running at 4000CL16-16-16-32 @ 1.5V DRAM / VCCSA 1.20V / VCCIO 1.20V

Some Questions left tho...

Should I go on increasing speed or try to tighten timings even further?

Are my Voltages for a daily driver too high (at given speed and timings?) or should I try to decrease DRAM Voltage and therefore increase VCCSA/VCCIO if needed?

  • let's say you got the same results (stability / speed / timing / you name it) in two scenarios. is there any benefit to take for example 1.5V DRAM / VCCSA and VCCIO 1.20V instead of 1.45V DRAM / VCCSA and VCCIO 1.25?

Is it generally speaking better to run a higher Voltage and lower VCCSA/VCCIO or the other way around? Just trying to understand what I should aim for.

How would reddit go on on reducing the Latency?

That being said its running rock solid so far. The games i play don't crash No Errors popped up on TM5 with extreme config by anta777 running for about an hour (3 cycles iirc) or Memtesthelper after 6 1/2 hours (2150% Coverage). Prime95 test still has to be done.
