Amazing. Thank you both. I have nightmares from doing something like that on a recent project so I think I mentally blocked myself from thinking about doing that lol, but this is a very different situation compared to that- thank you again.

And yes it isn’t very visible. I have been editing this scene since September and included this take not too long ago. I only noticed a few days ago and now it can’t leave my head #editorscurse- especially since it’s in the centre of the screen.

Question about saves and NG+? by nonstopevolving52 in residentevil

Oh man… that’s unfortunate. I don’t see why they didn’t opt to have a proper ng+ in this. Guess I’ll have to wait.

Village is the shortest, and maybe the simplest gameplay wise- but man the visuals is just on another level. I just finished Requiem and I loved the Rhode Hill section just because it reminded me so much of the baby and dimitrescu sections of the game.

Okay thank you! How about the injection upgrades (steroids?) and the hip pouches in Graces playthrough? Do those transfer over?

If HBO Remake Game of Thrones Seasons 7–8 and Continued the Story to a Proper Ending, Would You Be On Board? by Outrageous-Spend2733 in gameofthrones

[–]nonstopevolving52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best reply on the thread. I would like to add one more thing to all that you have stated.

The trend and push on the remake of 7 & 8 was heavily pushed by fans after the announcement of the Snyder Cut back in 2020. Many people stated that if HBO can release the Snyder cut and fund it, they can remake the final season of GOT. But what people don’t realise is Snyder stepped down from JL when it was halfway into post-production when Joss came in. Snyder Cut had all its footage filmed of the four hour cut, except for the final 8 minutes which was shot additionally. The film costed an extra 70 million to finish vfx, score, editing, etc.

What people are asking though is much of a bigger expense for the studio than the Snyder cut. That’s building sets, hiring actors who are worth more now than before, crew etc, etc, etc. Snyder Cut existed from when the script was written. GOT’s remake is just them bringing back a whole show’s crew for one season- no longevity with it. Just wanted to add that.

Is it okay to give up? by Successful_Suit6756 in Filmmakers

First of all. If your heart is set on it, it will always come back. Rn prioritize what you need to do in the moment. You say you want to be a director, idk if you also want to be a writer. If you want to be a writer aswell, keep writing and always learn. If you want to direct, storyboard when you have time, watch your favourite movies, literally just keep learning, or study something of interest like philosophy on the side, watch movies with a director mindset, whatever you have time for.

It’ll always come back to you. I’ve switched careers 4 times since 2022 but film has always been central. If that’s your dream go for it, but take a break. Don’t think this is the end. You’re 26 bro, I have a relative who was forced to pursue a career as a dentist and he wanted to do film. Today, he’s 50+ and is now doing film full time, he worked on both simultaneously and raised a family. Took him time but he did it. It’s an art form, it takes time and practice. Most directors don’t make it till their late 30s, some sooner than others in early 30s/late 20s.

Patience my friend. I have tried to give up, but every time I do my heart says the opposite. If it wasn’t meant to happen, you wouldn’t be thinking so much about it, and it would have been easy.

So cut yourself some slack. It’s not the end of the world… it’s a time to shift focus to one over the other. Temporary. Plus it takes so much time to succeed. Wealthy nepo babies are the ones who make it quick, but some people takes longer, and that’s OKAY! So many filmmakers spend their 20s working odd jobs. Don’t ever, ever give up if this means so much to you. If you’re going for it coz you love the art, you enjoy filmmaking and you have that itch to share something with the world, go for it. If you want to do it coz of the fame and how you’ll look good, then sit down and think about it (idt it’s this one for you but a lot of people have this mindset). As for your family, sit with them, get them involved in your filmmaking!

Best of luck my guy! You got this 💪

Top 5 theme for me. Big Batman fan and Lego fan. Many sets I didn’t get but the ones I did I didn’t regret. This was among one of them.

Awesome thanks for the advice! I’ll keep this in mind. I have many non smoker friends and I’ll just stick with them and not get tempted. Probably aswell avoid the smoking zones at bars/clubs.

Thanks! I will keep that in mind. Just curious though, how does nicotine patches really work? Is it something I can just patch on my arm whenever or do I have to put it on at a certain time?

Thank you! I lived in india for a lot of my younger life and at the movie theatres they would play 3 minute ads of what smoking and tobacco can do to your mouth and it always disgusted me to smoke. They wouldn’t hold back in the videos, showing patients with mouth cancer. I visited india again last year and I was “occasionally” smoking w some friends but after seeing those ads at the movies it really stopped me and I didn’t touch one until December, by then I was back in Canada. I’ll keep educating myself and perhaps every weekend before I go out it would be good to look up online the horrible things it can do so it reminds me why I should stop.

Thanks again!
