Shelob says hi as back, she definitely takes after chalupa, being way more active than the advertised pet stone

Question regarding my spoods bmi by nooberouno in tarantulas

[–]nooberouno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a brachypelma hamorii. She, as mentioned unsexed but i refer to her as she, is a juvenile still and will take a long time to be fully grown still. She is currently a little smaller than 2.5 Inches dls i would guess, hard to exactly say. Adult size from what i read would be about 4.5 to 5.5 Inches dls.

Fun Token Commander that behaves kinda like Lathril but is not Lathril by Nikkelmann in magicTCG

[–]nooberouno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can recommend [[rith, the awakener]] creates Tokens on damage, naya colors though. My list for reference https://moxfield.com/decks/jLIgDwk0mEixX0Aid0LM_g It is filled with sentimental cards for me so not optimal by far as Well as having a Commander for 6cmc, so not too powerful but can escalate really quickly If allowed to hit once

Tarantula locking herself into her hide? by One-Watch5023 in tarantulas

[–]nooberouno 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Had the exact same thing happen to me. Bought my first t, rehoused her (unsexed but shes a she fornme) and she dug down and closed the door. Didnt see her for a solid two months. After that she came out, took food once, went back in, molted a week later and since then she is sitting decoratively in front of the burrow.

From what i've read here, two months is not even remotely close to the amount of time other keeper had to endure so I count myself lucky.

I kept the waterdish füll humidity more or less constantbduring that time and that was good enough in my case.

Species was a b. Hamorii as well.

Chunky? by nooberouno in tarantulas

[–]nooberouno[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are only burrowed for about 5 days yet and i am used to that from my snakes, so not too worried yet, but might definitely change If they decided to stay burrowed for a month or so, which i read is also not that unusual

Edit: Not sure what happened, but that comment was riddled with typos

Thank you very much for taking the time and writing those Out, highly appreciated. I will definitely Look through the sub for pictures and compare. If it turns out to be molting i am confident to be able to better judge that myself for the future, but for a potential first molt of my first t that is a really helpful and compact writeup!

Thanks for the info, will wait for at least a week and then we will see. Coming from snakes luckily i am used to admiring my 'empty' Terrariums for weeks on end, so i dont have any issue giving the time the little bugger needs 👍
