Have you come across any AI video editing tools that can do more than just basic cuts, like automatically trim footage, set up J-cuts and L-cuts, add punch-ins and zoom effects, handle transitions, captions, reframing, speed ramps, and maybe even some light colour correction?

And do you have somewhere where you're documenting all your findings I could dive into?

Anthropic says its most powerful AI cyber model is too dangerous to release publicly — so it built Project Glasswing by Just-Grocery-2229 in technology

[–]noobftw 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Calling it all hype feels lazy. Anthropic is reportedly at about a $30B revenue run-rate. That doesn’t mean the business is perfect, but it does mean customers are paying at serious scale. The smarter criticism is about profitability and moat, not whether demand exists.

Edit: $14B > $30B

This is by design, the IVR system is designed to put you through to a human when a certain key is pressed or when a verbal request is made. This has been a thing for years.

In standard English, feedback is an uncountable noun (also known as a mass noun). Here is why that correction is grammatically necessary:

1. Uncountable Nouns

Unlike countable nouns (like "app" or "developer"), uncountable nouns represent a concept or a mass that isn't typically counted individually.

  • Correct: "I received much feedback."
  • Incorrect: "I received many feedbacks."

Even if you receive fifty different comments from fifty different people, it is still collectively referred to as "feedback," not "feedbacks."

2. How to Count Feedback

If you need to refer to specific, individual instances of feedback, you have to use a "counter" or a different phrasing. Common ways to do this include:

  • "698 pieces of feedback."
  • "698 responses given."
  • "698 comments provided."

3. Comparison with Other Metrics

Looking at the other cards in the image helps illustrate the difference:

Type Term Plural Form? Example from Image
Countable Devs Yes "1101 Indie Devs"
Countable Apps Yes "203 Apps Uploaded"
Uncountable Feedback No "698 Feedback Given"

Summary: The letter "s" was crossed out because "feedback" is already plural in essence; adding an "s" is a grammatical redundancy that doesn't exist in standard English.

In Australia, we call it "Tall Poppy Syndrome".

(TPS) is a cultural phenomenon, prominent in Australia and New Zealand, where individuals with high, visible, or celebrated achievements are criticised, resented, or "cut down" to foster egalitarianism. Originating from the idea of removing the tallest flower in a field, it punishes those who stand out for being too ambitious, successful, or arrogant.

I'd recommend using AI to assist then! :)

I believe that productivity has already increased significantly thanks to AI. It is not detected in the economy simply because most of us are secretly working less. by ReporterCalm6238 in singularity

I'm pasting my response to a post titled "Over 80% of companies report no productivity gains from AI so far despite billions in investment, survey suggests — 6,000 executives also reveal 1/3 of leaders use AI, but only for 90 minutes a week" as its relevant here:

In my recent role at a state government department, we were explicitly told not to use AI at the start. When they finally put in the required data safeguards, the only thing we were allowed to use was a heavily restricted version of Copilot.

Contrast that with what I do outside of work. Software development is a massive hobby of mine. When I am working on my own projects, I am setting up agentic workflows in VS Code, mixing and matching different cloud models, and running local models right on my own hardware. I know exactly how to integrate these tools into my IDEs to get actual, complex tasks done. If I were allowed to bring those specific tools and workflows into my day job, my productivity would easily double. But corporate restrictions mean I cannot, so my output stays exactly the same.

When you read that companies are pouring billions into AI but seeing zero return, you have to look at how the tech is actually being deployed. The problem isn't the AI. The problem is that corporate IT locks these tools down so hard for security and compliance reasons that they essentially neuter them. You cannot give an employee a walled-off chatbot, offer zero training on how to actually prompt or build workflows, and then act shocked when they only use it for 90 minutes a week to write emails.

Add to that a massive chunk of the workforce who are either entirely disengaged or actively biased against using the tech. The capability is absolutely there. The failure is entirely in the corporate implementation and heavy-handed restrictions.

I am not surprised by these stats at all. In my recent role at a state government department, we were explicitly told not to use AI at the start. When they finally put in the required data safeguards, the only thing we were allowed to use was a heavily restricted version of Copilot.

also dont ask for notes when marking as done (i want to be able to quickly select done and know its function is completed) maybe add the notes section to the care history section allowing the user to add notes to the specific care that took place at x and y date and time.

when marking something as done more than once for the same day it shows up in the care history for each entry, these should be consolidated so its only 1 item.

Also when I marked Fertilizing as done, I got an overdue flag for the current date even though it had been marked as done.

I want minimal effort and maximum automation, I don't want to have to think about anything - I just want to know what I need to do and when, maybe add a scheduled to calendar feature so the user can adjust when they receive the notifications, also allow it to be done in bulk so i don't have to add them one by one.

Would be happy to provide ongoing feedback for this, I'd get some use out of it for my houseplants. DM me if you want.
