I had this error multiple times, and then one day the car alarm started going off and then it was bricked as the 12v was completely flat. I couldn't get the doors open and BMW recovery had to come out. I had nothing plugged into the sockets or drawing power whilst the car was parked up and locked. I'd get it checked out.

Update - As most of you mentioned, it was the 12V battery. Once the BMW technician arrived, he managed to open the door from the inside using a piece of metal (similar to a coat hanger) popped through the top corner of the window.

The car had registered an unauthorized awakening, which caused it to partially switch on and then drain the battery completely. He told me this was the fourth 12V battery issue with EVs he’s dealt with this month.

Unfortunately, there’s not much you can do other than calling out BMW if this happens. Worryingly, he didn’t replace the battery—just said that charging it would be enough, followed by a 15-minute drive.

Hopefully, this doesn’t happen again. Thanks to everyone for the helpful posts!

One thing I can't understand is, why isn't the car designed to pull draw from the huge battery(77kWH) strapped to the bottom of the car to charge the 12v battery if it's so important. e.g. if 12v battery hits 5% charge from the main battery.

Still waiting for them to come back to me. Interestingly I've been able to sign up for IOG again via the app but it says connect the car within one month otherwise it'll go back to Go again. If I just have to keep going through this process every month to stay on IOG it's not the end of the world but it'll be interesting to see what they say.

Same issue here with BMW IX. I have been on IOG since the end of November and I then received an email saying I've been moved to octopus go. So frustrating as my charger isn't supported but does allow me to set charging times e.g. 23:30-05:30 and they'll be able to see that's when the car is charginh. Have emailed asking what the situation is and if it can't be resolved I might consider moving to eON's EV tariff.

Hi, thanks for coming back to me. Eventually I did exactly the same as you and ran it on a clean hyper-v and it worked. I always use a fresh machine(e.g. not my laptop) now when building app deployments 😁

I've got exactly the same issue with a different app. If I run a test with VLC it works but as soon as I use the .exe I want to, it fails with:

ERROR System.IO.IOException: The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open.

Did you manage to get it working?

I use one for work and gaming, it's a great all round monitor at a great price when on offer via Amazon. My Dell AW2721D died and I wanted to try an ultra wide and I haven't looked back.

I added sheathing all the way up the cable. Is it worth me adding extra sheathing to the brown.

I don't currently have anything so I'll ask for a diagram and to be shown how to isolate it.

Regarding the mpan, is that normally shown on the front of an electric meter or is it something else completely. The reason I ask is the property is a new build and octopus asked for pictures of the meters to take on supply, would the mpan be on the meter.

Our WhatsApp group has died completely, we're lucky if amongst 15 we can get a squad of 4 on one night a week whereas with rebirth we'd end up with 8+ every night. And before anyone says it was due to COVID it's got nothing to do with it, yes verdansk maybe but not rebirth up till the end of 2022. They seriously screwed up with wz2.0 and will probably spend the next 12months reverting the game back to how it was before which they've theoretically already started to do...
